P30 Electrical

Does anyone have any wiring diagrams for the 1976 P30 chassis? I dug my motorhome out of the snow last week and I lost power to my blower motor (no heat when driving!). The fuse is still good, I am just not sure what I am looking at as far as wires go.

I used to have some links book marked but I can't manage to find them. With the single digit temps we have around here, a little heat when driving it would be nice.

Out of curiosity, have you figured out why the fan quit?

Not yet. I've just hooked up the propane tank and a coach battery in order to use the furnace. It's been nice to have a little warmth in single digit temperatures!

I just found this while looking for the P30 electrical diagrams.
Complete 73-87 Wiring Diagrams

It has images of the different wiring diagrams on the chassis. They should work for our motorhomes.

I found a burned out fuse holder left of radiator below the exterior heater box, so fuse was part of original chassis wiring not in the chassis fuse panel.

I found the original electrical diagrams for my 76 Argosy. It is the original Chevrolet P30 manual that just so happened to be tucked away in a cabinet in the moho. If anyone is interested in getting a copy please let me know. I will scan them and post them! They are good for any Argosy or Airstream motorhome that is built on the P30 chassis. There are also other chassis listed in the manual (from the pickup truck on up) so let me know if you need those too

I now have a digital copy of the 1976 Chevrolet truck wiring diagrams (all models including P30). Please send me a private message to get a copy of it, I would be happy to share!

Dave did you ever find out what this fuse was used for? I may have the same thing.

Is that the fusable link for the ignition and dash? I think I have one on mine as well

High speed heater blower, put in a circuit breaker, I figure the burn was due to arcing in the holder, no problems since replacement.

I figured it out! I traced the rats nest of wires back to the fuse block and one of the wires had fallen off. I put it back on and everything fired up! Only problem now is that the heater fan makes a loud screeching noise. That and the cable to engage the heat frozen.
