NOS early P-30 instrument cluster on Ebay

Price is steep, but as the plastic bezel goes for $200, and the gauges $40-60 each, and that doesn't factor in the speedo, printed circuit warning lights etc....so if someone is looking the replace everything it maybe worthwhile.

Nice looking instrument cluster. He definitely has the years wrong though. I'm pretty sure that cluster was only used from around 73 to 75 or 76.

Did you manage to get all of the kinks worked out of your instrument cluster?

Still working out some bugs Brad....at least one of which is a little silly. The guys at the shop fitted my speedo to your cluster and installed. However they did not connect the pressure line from the oil sender properly and that was what lost the oil pressure reading on the first trip. Also they seem to have reversed the connection to the fuel gauge - so it always reads full (whether full or not). But the last one is really frustrating - they kept the bezel from yours which was broken, not my one that wasn't.

I seem to be spending each evening 'making right' small things they didn't!

Heck, it wouldn't have been that much more difficult for them to move my gauges and the circuit board to your cluster. Interesting short cut

Yeah, nearly as interesting as the tech seeing the mini-blind end/box brackets (that came with the kit from Airstream) were cracked, reporting to the project manager who said to install them anyway. Guess what fell off first time I drove anywhere.....

It cost a full $2.20 per mini-blind, to buy new (domestic quality) brackets from Home Depot and less than 5 mins for me to swap them....total spend $6.60 (I bought a spare set!).

The project manager was just plain wrong about that. That's the sort of person where meeting a schedule date is more important than getting it right the first time. Unfortunately I've worked for people like that and it's exceedingly frustrating.

I have seen warrantied used ones go for under $100, and all the parts (other than the darn printed circuits) are available new but it costs about the same to assemble. A modern replacement cluster is also available at around $600, it is a direct fit but all the wires need splicing and the oil sender needs changing to an electronic sender.....that is my 'last resort'

The seller asking that price is one thing, whether he gets it is another!

It is cleaned up nicely. One small crack on it because it was used. Look out for it on ebay!

Hopefully you don't spend that money before it's in your Paypal account

Not yet. I'd like to buy some awning arms for this Carefree I pick up a few weeks ago off of my parts RV. If it sells then I will treat myself to that and new fabric! I miss having an awning on an RV, my Argosy did not come equipped.

You need to come and pick through my donor Matt. As guys removed parts we needed they have left piles of stuff the didn't. There are the remains of at least two awnings there (the long one from the passenger side and the short one (still intact and attached) on the passenger side).

That might be a possibility once boating season is over with! Thank you for the offer. I will have to find the time this fall to make the drive out as long as I came come up with a reliable vehicle, dont exactly truck my Argosy for more than a couple hours and my truck more that a couple miles!

Have you tried contacting Chris Angelone at Vintage Trailer Parts (vintagetrailerparts@gmail.com), him and his partner are in the process of starting up a parts business. I got the top of a damage door for the window but that meant I also got the matching blind that sits between the inner and outer skin/inner skin trim for $100, so their prices are reasonable. They have a listing on Craigslist and a couple of photos show a lot of awning parts (Airstream parts)

Yes I have and he said that his stuff was all thrown into unorganized piles so it was hard to figure out what belongs to what. I need to find some time to take some detailed pictures of my equipment so he can find the correct curved arms for me.

They are nice guys but really don't know what is what when it comes to MH. I have been trying to help them identify and match bumpers (just because I want a pair) and they have two fronts from 74-76 that they were selling as a pair and a 77 on rear that they thought was a front.

It's not showing up in my automated P-30 instrument cluster search Matt; maybe I am missing all the key words?
