Need Inspiration

We've been all over in our 74 Argosy 24. Since I picked it up in New Jersey about 6 years ago. Been to West Virginia, Kentucky, South Dakota and everywhere in between. Love our traveling home.

About 2 years ago, coming back from South Dakota, we made it all the way to St. Augustine (we live near Orlando) and it died at a kangaroo gas station and was towed the last 2 hours of a month long (6000 mile) trip.

Turns out the classic plastic timing gear got to loose and the engine could no longer stay in time (has about 82,000 miles on it). I dug a hole under the rig and dropped out the radiator and changed the timing chain, then life got in the way.

The boys got summer jobs, so we didn't go anywhere the summer before last. Last summer they had girlfriends and friends and jobs, so the Argosy has never been finished.

Last weekend I opened the door and everything was moldy and stale. It is in a sad state. Now I want to finish the timing chain before the tires dry rot so I can make a decision to let him go and sell it or hope that the Argosy can go camping again.

So I guess I need to dig a new hole and put everything back together. Anyone have any good stories or pictures of their Argosy Motorhome Adventures?

Fix it up! I don't have an Argosy but have a 28' Airstream. Here is a couple pics of Yosemite last November and this past New Years eve. I'm sitting in it right now all cozy and waiting for it to snow!

The only inspiration needed should be to look at photos from prior trips.

How about finishing up the timing chain, cleaning up the mold, and going out for a weekend, not terribly far, but just enough to remind you what fun it is to be out and about again?
