Need Hot Water heater

The tank on my hot water heater is cracked almost all the way around the outlet bung. So best bet looks to be to replace the entire heater. Any advice for a 1975 Argosy? The heater is dual propane and electric. Thanks in advance.

Most likely you had an Atwood 6 gallon water heater. Over the years they came with different options. Some had a pilot light, then later they had electronic ignition and newer ones has the gas or electric option. Find the model that matches your version or upgrade (additional work required) to a newer model.

Because it references water heaters.

That's not a basis for moving the post.

We installed & removed 2 Atwood heaters and the quality control was awful. Each one had leaks in different spots. We gave up and eventually just made the whole camper "hot" when we shower by using one of these on the inlet side.

I put a new 6 gallon Atwood in my trailer and we have been very happy with it for 10 years now.
