need hood latches

I need two hood latches for my Argosy 26. Hope someone might have a pair that I can buy. The shop that worked on my engine broke both of them. I can't even guess how they were broken but they are toast.

Unless you know where to look (feel) for the latches they aren't obvious at all. My guess is the shop probably broke them by using a pry bar to forced the hood open. Hopefully your hood isn't damaged.

My hood was severely twisted so Martin gave me the one from his donor. Let me see what condition the latches are on my old one and I'll let you know.

Lucky the hood was not damaged. I don't know how they broke both tabs off but they are. Even one latch would be better than none. I drove it home last weekend and the hood stays closed. I guess its the wind pressure. Thanks Brad. you guys are the best.

Al, sorry about the delay. I did look a few days ago and I do have the two latches off of my old engine cover. PM me your mailing address.

Latches arrived today. Many thanks to Brad as these parts are no longer available.

You can actually think Martin. He gave me the engine door from his donor to replace my bent door so my old latches were now available. Without his engine door I wouldn't have had any to spare
