Mike & Jana and a 1977 Argosy 24 MoHo

From June, in the wrong Forum:
Greetings,
I'm Mike.

My wife and Ii just bought a 1978 Argosy 24 motorhome a few weeks ago. I bought it spur of the moment, without an inspection. It made an immediate trip from mid-state New York to central florida without issue. Except for the lack of air conditioning it was a joy to drive down. I'm suprised how spry it was, only 6000 miles on the old 454.

It is very original inside and has the roto dinette, which we've been looking for. She needs some cosmetic attention, and I have a honda 4060 generator for her, so here we are!

I got a realy good deal, mostly because the curbside rear vista window was shattered. Any suggestions for a used widow would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike & Jana

So I found a rear Vista view window, thanks to rugjenkins and this forum.

My teenage son drove up and picked it up for us and we've learned to buck rivet. It was pretty scary pulling so much apart to get to the window, but it has gone back together smashingly.

I've now got a little time to devote to her, so I'm working on getting the little gremlins sorted out and figuring out how a motor home works. Did I mention this is my first ever venture into motor homes, campers or RVs?

She made the 1300 mile trip home and is amazingly dry inside. I've got the generator running and may choose to keep the Onan over the Honda.

Would really appreciate a lead on the proper owner's manual. I bought a version on CD from eBay, but it is not the correct year. A PDF or electronic version would be great!

Suggestions and sources are appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Mike & Jana

Welcome on-board!

Here is a link to the manual on my shared drive, be aware it is 21mb/266 pages..

This is just the Argosy manual, you also should have the Chevy light truck manuals, I only have the 1977 manuals but if you search online they are available to download.

Martin,
That manual is so awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Any idea where I can find the regular owners manual as well?
