Airstream did a good job on that color combination

When do they anticipate it being out of paint?

Unfortunately only the week before the Get Together so I'm not going to get any chance to get some miles on her before heading off - this is going to be nerve racking!

Ouch, that's cutting it close

You better have AS NE start filling the gas tank now so it will be full by the time you pick her up

The excitement is starting the build.

Got a message today to say they are spraying the second color (the stripes) but also confirming Bella should be ready before the end of next week, once they have finished refitting/aligning the bumper around the new valance.......

Martin is going to be such a proud Papa. Seriously can't wait to check her out.

Did you go with the Willow Green or did you go with the OEM paint scheme? I can't remember.

Cheers
Tony

The theme is the OEM color scheme but the original 'light beige' code is no longer available and the modern (mix) equivalent seemed quite yellow to me so I went with a modern 'off-white' (I think it is Ford Wimbledon White). The stripes are the original Chevy metallic brown.

Hi Martin, are you in the UK at the moment ? We are off to the Rushden Cavalcade near Northampton today in the Argosy for the weekend including Monday, are you close enough to visit ? Would love to meet you.

Hi Phil

Unfortunately I'm not benefiting from the holiday weekend in the UK as I'm back in the US this week; I could do with that extra day to try and get bits off the donor for Peanut!

The next couple of months we are based in the US (Denise is over for the Get Together, the two of the local WBCCI events), but have saved your number and will call/meet up when we get back.

In the meantime we are trying to find a new place to live over there, and getting strange looks when explaining to the real estate agents that any property has to have a 10ft wide drive way, and forget any regular size garage!!!!!!

You may have to do a Marcus Walker and buy an old warehouse. He bought an old warehouse in the worst part of LA to house his love of everything Porsche. Now, all the artsy people have followed him into that district and are turning it into an incredible place.

Another British explorer and pioneer.

Cheers

Bella is out of paint!

Still a couple of days of finishing required but I'm pretty happy with the results so far.

It's going to be great, you'll have to get up to Perry's place, cause that is super cool....just watch your paintwork on the way up and make sure you go on the night of their annual party, cause you'll be for a real treat. Plus, the smaller Motorhomes are just made for the UK and Europe. Out of interest, are those roof light windows stock on that Argosy? They remind me of the old VWs.

This year, for us, it's the Black Forest, Southern Germany, Italian Lakes, back through Switzerland and France.
