LPG tank 1975 Argosy 28'?

I love this MH but it's a project.

I started working on the front end last fall (suspension and steering) but I got caught by winter, almost done with that. I'll keep you posted when I'm done with that.

Now, I bought it as a project and the plan was to do without the Lpg tank which it does not have, but now I want one. I searched, but can't find technical data on this.
- Where should it be? (just in front of the entrance?)
- What size tank? (volume yes, but more specifically dimensions)
- How do I fix it there? I don't see any brackets or hooks. Will I have to make my own supports?

Dan I did a quick check and an Airforums member that goes by the handle "TricoastalJoey" has or had a 1976 28' Argosy like yours. He was not very active on the forums and his last post was in December of 2006.

Ben (bpg_austin) has a 78 28' Argosy and is currently active on the forum. You might send Ben a PM asking for help.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. Martin (martin300662) has a donor 28' Argosy that will soon be heading to the scrap yard. He likely won't be able to remove the parts himself due to where the donor is parked but you might reach out to him to see if there are any options for getting the parts.

Do you have the owners manual Dan? If not PM me your email and I can send an electronic copy.

Your propane tank was originally installed between the door and the front on the passenger side.



The owners manual has a section on the LPG cylinder and system plus the devices that run on it; let me know if you need it.

I grabbed a photo of the tank in the donor yesterday - looks in pretty good but very dirty condition.
