Quite the contrary Andre, you finally have come to your senses and discovered the best that AS made. Welcome to the wonderful world of motor homing. I think the 20' is the cutest motor home ever made and can hardly wait to see what you will do with it. What plans does Susan have for the interior?

Who needs reservations. If your a member of this forum you already have a assigned room in the aluminitus wing. Nice Argosy.

Not certain right now, thinking of a cork floor to help with the sound deadening. Trying to think of a theme...

Argosy Peanut
Just read your post, we're excited to see what magic you work with the Peanut. Like the idea of cork, definately strip that wood grain contact off the stove.

Symptoms of Aluminitus?
What are the symtoms of chronic Aluminitus? I think it's catching and there's no imunization, I've heard that boondocking can help!
Balrgn Nice Argosy but it looks cold outside, come to Texas

Thanks, got a pretty good handle on the mechanics, restored my 62 Impala and the 58 Case front end loader for practice.

Great find in that little thing! The engine compartment looks like it will shine after your experienced care to it. My '81 28' had electronic ignition added and I painted the air cleaner (woohoo). Then had headers and new exhaust. Sounds great! Replaced starter with a mini. Never stopped cranking from heat! Interior was kept original except for personal touches here and there. Are you gonna paint or strip that baby? Alcoas and electric mirrors would look super. Even your cockpit looks better than mine! I like the ceiling glass, but not as much storage.
Only thing that I don't like about the convertible sofa is that it's too short for me, and my two boys have the twin beds so I gotta sleep there.
Well, good luck and have fun with the project. By the way, you may want to shorten the sewer pipe a little so it doesn't stick out so far...has kept me from breaking it numerous times after the first break.

Thanks, keep in touch when you come this way, Rye is only 20 minutes or so from here.

Good idea with the pipe, don't know why it is still there with the damage back there. Don't know yet, probly paint. Sleeping won't be an issue, not that tall.

I was going to ask if the 62 Impala was going to become a TOAD. You know that car may be longer than your motor home?

Restoration started
We are planning a camping trip in the Peanut March 4th, so we started right in to the restoration! Gas range, Fridge and furnace check out, all in good working order. I have an appointment next week to look at the Propane tank to see if it can be recertified. Carpet is out, gaucho has a new cover. Decided on flooring and a theme.
Gave it a bath, brightened right up!
