Lets get you in an area of the Forum that
is best for you....go up to the top of this
web-page to the link labeled "Forums".
When the forums page loads, scroll down
to the sub-forum Airstream Knowledgebase
and iside there you will find Argosy Trailers.
I suggest you stay there and read a while.
There are "Many" pages about Argosy's.
May I suggest you post a phot or two of
your Argosy in the Argosy Trailers sub forum.
We really like pictures.

Are you trying to find someone to inspect the coach to make sure that it is road-ready condition to make the trip to Florida - - or are you looking for someone to make a pre-purchase inspection for you?

If you are looking for someon to make a pre-purchase inspection, you can post a message in the area for AirForums Volunteer inspectors at this link.

Good luck with your coach!

Kevin

Help with a 1977 Argosy24

Greetings Tracy!

I am not in the area so can't suggest someone, but if someone from that area doesn't respond to your question, you might try the following:
  • Contact AAA an ask for a list of their approved repair shops in the near vicinity of where the motorhome is now located. While not a precise indicator, call three or more of the garages and get a feel for whether they are interested in working on your motorhome . . . lack of interest or reluctance would be a definite cause for concern.
  • Contact a church in the area where the motorhome is located and ask the minister if he or she could suggest a reliable mechanic to check out your coach.
  • Contact the local Farm Bureau or Farmers Coop, and ask if they could suggest garages favored by local farmers for farm truck repair.
Hopefully someone from the area will answer your question, but when I have been faced with finding a reliable mechanic while traveling I have tried each of the three methods above with reasonably good results.

Good luck with your search!

Kevin

Hi Tracey,
I have a 28ft Argosy motorhome and have done a fair bit of work to it to get it road ready and am happily camping in now. Can you be more specific in the kind of work that needs done?
