Heater Controls

Hi all, still here in the UK, getting ready for this years shows,( have attached photos, cannot seem to insert them ) however has anyone got the heater controls complete with the blower lever as mine is missing ( was when purchased ) that they would be willing to send over ( I would pay all costs ).
We have used our Argosy for showing & holidays since we purchased it in Virginia in 2013, not yet bumped into another over here ( yes we have met up with Beverly from Cornwall & her 24ft Argosy ) but not seen another 20ft with rear bathroom. It gets so much attention at classic car shows & steam fairs. The best was when a know it all told us that "you have ruined that Airstream by painting it that awful colour ", I just wish that I had recorded him !.We are trying to put some things back to period, We have just got a Royce CB from the 70s sent over from the US & are waiting for a 8 Track Stereo to get here ( thank god for ebay us.) Have also got a brand new Attwood water heater to fit in ( just waiting for the weather to improve )Anyway enough for now I promise to try & post more this year.
Phil

Hi Phil, I recently had the heater/A/C replaced in my 20ft with a modern unit so there is a possibility the old parts are still at the shop, I will check. If they are I can carry them over the next time I come back to the UK.

Phil, assuming your 75 is the same as my 74 then this is the A/C heater control that you will need.

Airstream used a Ford Mustang control panel for the 74 Argosy and I'm guessing the 75 and 76 models are the same.

With luck Martin will still have his old control panel but if not you can buy the one on ebay.

You have a very nice looking Argosy!

Brad

Thanks for the quick reply chaps, I look forward to meeting up with you Martin sometime this year, we go to a lot of classic car shows during the summer, & bkahler thanks for that I did not know that, I would have thought that any part would have been GMC sourced !

Phil, it looks like you hang out with a pretty rough crowd

When I first started looking for parts I figured everything would be GM as well. I searched for weeks trying to find a replacement AC control and then I found a post where someone mentioned that it might be from a Ford Mustang. Did a quick search on Mustangs and sure enough found what I needed.
