Front mounted receiver 77 Argosy 28 MH?

Does anyone have a recommendation about installing a front 2" receiver on an Argosy 28 MH? I'd like to carry bikes up front. I don't travel far or generally after dark so am not worried about bugs or headlights. Rear receiver is too low for my bike rack... particularly when entering/exiting driveways. Is there a bolt on receiver that might work or is weld on the only option? Thanks.

I'm sure something could be fabricated but you'll need to connect to the frame rails which are about 14" to 16" behind the front bumper. I wouldn't weld anything to the frame but there are a variety of holes on the bottom and sides of the frame that can be utilized for fastening purposes.

With that much distance to span it will need to be fairly stout to keep it from bouncing and flexing.

Since you're going to have to have something fabricated why not make something that plugs into the rear receiver but sits higher? Or buy one of these, cut the mast and extend it 6" to 12" or as much as you need.

Just trying to think outside the box
