Lol, you guys keep the Argosy forums interesting! That is for sure. Ever hear back from that guy with the motor martin?
And just for what it is worth... I will take BOTH of your Argosy's if anything comes up in your lives. I don't know about polishing it every week but I will atleast wipe her down... I will also keep them in a climate control storage.

I heard back Dane, but I didn't like what I heard. The motor and transmission and transfer case were 'split' and although he had 'a computer' and a harness which had already cut-about, I really wasn't sure they were a 'set'.
So I 'passed'; I am sure another will come up.
However the issue may have to be fixed sooner than latter. We have been out and about in Bella today and she has decide to stop changing gear, goes into drive or reverse fine but just isn't changing up.

Ouch, that's got to be frustrating.
I'm going to bounce over to your thread and continue so we don't clutter up Ben's thread with your issues.

So.. I had a man vacation last week to escape the insanity of two kids under 4. Wife gave me a free 24 hour pass and I drove down to our local state park for some R&R. Upon arrival I discovered that the generator door inconveniently came unlatched and flew off on the highway somewhere along my 1 hour drive. 2 seperate trips to and from the campground did not turn up my missing cover. I can only assume its a pancake somewhere along Hwy 290, or someone pulled it off the road and its now sitting in their aluminum scrap bin.
So, if anyone knows a source to pick up another panel for a somewhat reasonable cost, PLEASE get in touch with me.
I guess, on a positive (?) note, the old panel had some cracking along the edges and wasn't in pristine condition in the first place. But I'm still fightin mad at the loss of this cover.
Rant over.

Went over to ASNE this afternoon Ben, and picked up the cover from my donor Ben.....looks like the one you lost.
If you PM your address I will get it in the mail to you

Looks like Christmas came a little late for Ben...
Way to go Martin

The reason I asked is it sorta looks like the hook is a one piece unit. If you can flip it then it must be a separate spacer that makes the hook stand off the hatch.

that would be true. But I looked at a another hook I have and it looks different and could only be used on the left, unless you would latch it from the bottom on the right. No telling where I got the hooks i used in 2002

Hey Ben, just a heads-up; I haven't mailed the cover as yet because it has a lockable latch, and I don't have the key!
I assumed it was the same as the other lower compartment covers (which are now installed on Bella), but my key for Bella's covers doesn't work on that latch. ASNE are searching at their end to see if there is a second key somewhere - may take a few days.

I would imagine the key from your donor cover is the same as the cover that was on Ben's coach. I found the keys for the rectangular twist handles on the compartments of the 84 310 and the 86 345 were the same.
If Ben has his old key I bet it will work
Brad

Martin, I never thought of that! I'm in absolutely no rush on the cover. I"m currently working on the steering, so the motorhome isn't going anywhere for at least a month or two.
No worries even in the key can't be found. I can source out another fastening device if needed. Though I certainly appreciate the shop doing a sweep for an extra key!
edit: Brad, I've got a host of keys for my Argo. We could be in business here with a little luck.
