Argosy Windshield

Hello, I'm an Argosy newbee.

But not an RV newbee, with a Silver Eagle bus which I converted, and installed -- not one, but in turn, two different engines -- DD6v92, and Cummins M-11.

I am considering an Argosy 20' or 24' as an adjunct -- a SFF -- Short Fat Feller. Plan a modern diesel drive line transplant. (I just sold a GMC 23' motorhome, since I decided that it was not suitable for my plans).

Question:

Are windshields available, and likely to remain available? They are absolutly 'pivotal'. Anything else can be delt with in some way or other.

Another question, to help me get a feel for proportions:

Will someone be so kind as to measure -- on level ground -- the height of the bottom of the windshield molding to the ground.

We just sent out 2 of those windshields.

That's the good part in that they are still available.

The bad part is the gasket and lock, are no longer available.

Airstream decided to make that part obsolete.

The windshields are still available.

The windshield gasket, as of a couple of months ago, is now obsolete.

Does the gasket look like the one used in bus windshields, with a lip, and locking rubber round piece? Then (maybe) no problem.

Well, sort off.

The overall gasket was shaped like a figure 8, laying on it's side.

The one gasket, was for both windshield.

If you wish, the gasket was like an H with a slot on one side for the lock.
