Anyone have a '78 Argosy with rear double-bed (aka midbath)?

This model sounds like one that might work for us.. Is this a more "rare" model than what is typically found (twins or rear bath)? I've found one that has only been occasionally started for the past 6 years but never "used".. I'm waiting for some photos to get an idea of condition.. He claims the engine runs great...

Just curious if anyone has this model and what you think of it compared to the other floor plans?

We have a '75 with that layout. It works well for our 2 people and 2 dogs. I doubt it would be suited for a family. The back room is perfect for lounging. You're typically backed into a camp sight so it gets the best view, and your surrounded by glass. Ours had a dinette forward accross from the galley that came out of something newer. It didn't really fit and we didn't use it so I replaced it with a built in couch with storage. good luck

Hi, love to see your replacement sofa. Any pix posted yet?
Thanks, Derek

Here's what I posted before on the build. I opted not to make it convert into a sleeper. We're 2 people and 2 dogs and don't see the need. Having a dedicated trash bin made all the difference.

I don't have decent pictures of it with cushions but will take some this weekend. We're camping Juniper springs for 3 nights. The recent cold snap couldn't be more timely.

thanks

WOW! Awesome craftsmanship! Great job on the replacement sofa. The veneer work is awesome. Guess I've got a ways to catch up to you on woodworking skills. Can't wait to see your photos posted from this weekend.
Thanks, Derek

Thanks Derek. It did turn out nice. Here's some pics of it with cushions and a corian counter.

I wish the foam was a little softer but it should relax with use. I may narrow the backrest a little and change the angle. It's covered with marine vinyl. Here's an action shot.

Is that bamboo flooring I'm seeing? The sofa looks great! Loving the 'action' shot. Camping isn't the same unless you take 'man's best friend' along! Thanks, Derek

Thanks. It's a vinyl floor, bamboo pattern. It had bare plywood when we got it so we needed something quick and durable.

In this case camping isn't the same unless 'man's best friend' gives you chiggers. The gift that keeps on giving.
