Question Another Stupid Question!

What models of the Argosy Motorhomes used the rear airbags suspension, I know the 28 foot models did . what about the other models of Argosy's???

I think only the 1978 argos had the rear airbags, nut I'm not sure if all sizes had them. My 1977 28 footer has leaf springs in the rear. From what I've read ( and felt) the rear air bag suspension is a good thing.

Canoe,

Your question is not a stupid one, as no question posted here usually goes unanswered. I can not comment on the base of your question as I don't have a lot of historical knowledge of the Argory MH, but after full timimg in a 40' Monaco Dynasty with full 8 bag suspension, I would not ever have another MoHo without them. IN fact, I even added them to my Dodge Sprinter!

The 76 26' Argosy coach I have for sale did not come with Airbags front or rear.

I used to drive a tractor trailer that had the 8 bag air suspension system. It was a great ride. The smoothest ride I have had in a commercial truck. Better for me and better for the freight.

Those motor homes had leaf springs, they just were lighter duty than would be needed for the coach if it was leaf spring only suspension. It will ride more smoothly, and still have springs there in case an airbag fails, the coach won't drop onto the ground.
