Thank you tandemfish:
Are you replacing the genset as well? If so, how? The reason for my question is that it appears to me that 'modern' RV's (shudder) utilize side mounted gensets with all the controls and input and output (I/O) paraphernalia (gas, cabling, etc.) on the side facing outwards. With my Argosy MH, and I imagine yours is the same, the unit slides in from the back (we're sitting in front of it (big black box) in the picture to the left), so the I/O paraphernalia is at the very back. The ideal solution would be to find a modern genset (Honda, Guardian, Onan – I don’t care as long as it is reliable and quiet running) that can mount using my existing Onan (4.0BF) hardware and be relatively easily modified to use the current I/O cables and hose.
On a related matter, does your documentation detail any additional breakers/fuses such as Stray described earlier? My rig appears to go from the genset mounted 35A reset switch, to the inverter/fuse box under the rear dinette bench.
Any clues or ideas, or documentation for that matter, will be very gratefully received.
