78 Argosy 28 MH table extension pics/plans?

Hello Air Forums! This is my first post as I just brought home my 78 Argosy 28 motorhome. Reading through these posts, I can already see I'll be spending an inappropriate amount of time here. Many answers I'll find in the archives, however I do have two that I've not found answered.
  1. My rig has only the single table top that folds up from the passenger side wall between what were at one time 2 fixed chairs. The chairs were removed (I plan to use folding wooden dining chairs when needed.) My question is does anyone have a set of pictures or diagrams that illustrate how the (missing) table leaves worked that extend to the couch? I could probably fabricate something, but it'd be nice to know how the original table folding leaves worked.
  2. As you enter the entry door, on the fridge wall to the left near the top is stowage area that looks to accept four cylindrical objects - almost the size tall beer cans. What is this for?
Am exploring and learning a little more about this vintage MH each day. The coach has 54K miles, ngine, trans seem OK (engine replaced in 92 and trans last year.) Engine AC doesn't seem to work, but roof air and genny work fine. The rig has front and rear disc brakes - which kind of surprised me. Body is dirty but straight, interior is original and in very good condition.

I'm one of the few residents in Orange County, California that park an RV next to the house, so the Argosy will spend part time as a home office. Beach camping up and down the coast is our objective. And so far, my adult kids like this better than the 1949 Ford 8N tractor that last occupied the space. Here's to the life of a tinkerer!

welcome aboard!
Your 78 could have had a table behind the drivers side chair at some time. It would slide out to the center in front of the engine compartment and fold all the way across the couch if so desired.

Welcome to Airforums!

You might check out Fred's website ViewRVs.

He has a lot of information on the various Airstream models.
