'77-78 Argosy MH folks

Hey all. I have a 1978 Airstream Argosy 28 motorhome I scored a couple of years ago.
Right now, I got it in the shop getttin a footprint gas pedal installed....
But seriously I need some tips.
Looking for info on replacing the sliding window tracks. I have a manual on how to do it, but mine has a riveted divider between the fixed glass and sliding glass. I want to remove the fixed glass for new channel all around each window.
Also, I have a Kwikee step problem and info on testing a Series 28 step with the "pigtail tester" Problems retracting the step. Motor is good.
Thanks guys, Jay

At least you got your priorities right by starting with the bling....

Which windows are you talking about? I don't remember any riveted dividers on any of the windows in an Argosy (or Classic for that matter). We just finished replacing all of the tracks in Peanut (77 Argosy) and there was nothing with rivets to remove. Can you post some pictures?

Yes, I'll post a good pic of them. All the side windows have a strip riveted in the center. My manual does not address the strip or how to get the fixed half out to replace the glass runner in. I'd have to check the driver and passenger windows to see if they also have a strip.
