It will likely be an interesting experience. I believe the goal is for there to be three resident cats. Maybe the fact that they will have food put out daily will keep them at bay

Just a quick update. A pair of feral cats have now been relocated to Tommy's old barn.
The one the left is Penny, and the right is Bernadette
They need to stay in the crates for 3 to 5 weeks, the longer they stay in the crates the better the odds of them sticking around and making the barn their new home.
So far they seem to be doing ok. Penny hides behind the bed, hence all I ever see of her is a pair of eyes and ears. Bernadette is more curious although she still backs away when I open the cage door to feed and clean.
For Argosy news, I should have time starting this fall to start working on it again. I am retiring before the end of August which hopefully will open up time in my seemingly always busy schedule
I had to move the Argosy from one side of the shop to the other and I was again reminded about just how much I like the TBI addition

The fuel injection was always a dream for me in my early days! No pumping the accelerator, just grab the key an fire it off!
Now it's push the button in these high tech cars![emoji12]

We had some severe storms in Kentucky Sunday night which left a lot of areas without power, including me
Power went out Sunday around 10:30 pm and was expected to be out until late Tuesday evening. So, being the smart fellow that I (think) am, on Monday morning I figured I'd back my Argosy up to the house and use the generator to run the fridge.
First try in starting the generator failed due to insufficient fuel in the Argosy fuel tank. So, I added a couple of 5-gallon cans of gas to the Argosy. Next I hit the prime button I added for the generator, and I could hear the pump run. Next, I hit the start button and the generator fired right up and after a few seconds smoothed out and sounded great
Since the generator wiring isn't complete inside the coach, I shut things down and added an outlet to one of the two output cables. Got an extension cord and plugged it into the new outlet and went to start the generator again.
Nope, nada, wouldn't start, not a pop or even a hint of a pop
I let it sit for a few hours and then tried again and every so often a cylinder would fire but that's it. No matter how long I cranked the generator it would only sporadically pop here and there.
I'm pretty sure the last time I ran the generator was last fall. Yeah, I should have been starting it once a month but I just got to busy to think about it
Sometime in the near future I'll drop the exhaust and slide the generator tray out to see if I can figure out what's going on. Unfortunately, I just don't have time right now to even think about working on the Argosy

Dang! I totally forgot about Peanut's generator!
My area was fortunate in that we got power back by 2pm Tuesday so the need has disappeared, at least for the moment. It might be time for me to invest in a small inverter generator that I can store in the garage. All I care about is the fridge stays cool inside

'74 Argosy 20' Motorhome restoration/rebuild
Feel free to go get the one out of Peanut, I think Ernie just fired it up to make sure it works then drained the gas. It was a 2700watt so should run fridge fine.
PS we are currently half way through the NC500 (the coastal tour around northern Scotland) - using the VW as the Argosy wouldn’t fit down the single track roads!

Surprisingly Kentucky has a lot of what I would call single track roads. Once you get off the beaten path of the major highways the roads start getting real narrow. If I want to take the Argosy out somewhere there is only one road that will get me to a highway I can safely drive on.
Sounds like you're having a nice trip around Scotland

Yuki, here's a picture of the Constant Purge system. Also a picture of how a TR6 is setup.
Something you need to consider on the charcoal canister is the hose from the tank needs to run uphill as much as possible to keep liquid fuel from getting into the canister. You also don't want a trap in the line because if fuel and/or moisture gets into the trap then the vent path from the tank to the canister will be blocked.

Thank you for the pictures! I understand about the constant purge system now. Thank you my teacher. And I will keep it in mind that the charcoal canister and hose need to be placed in high (upward) position because of avoiding liquid into the canister.
Your Triumph looks nice! My Datsun had an EVAP system but I disabled it when I converted the original carb to SU carbs. Sorry for the earth!

Yuki, one thing I forgot to mention. On the TR6 there was a trap tank that is used to capture any liquid that did happen to splash into the vent line. You can see in the picture the big loop coming out of the tank and then the line goes into the bottom of the trap tank and comes out the top of the trap tank and heads to the charcoal canister. If any fluid does get into the trap tank it will eventually evaporate.
One other thing, there is an orifice in the hose between the charcoal canister and the trap tank. On one system I've seen the orifice is 0.035 inches in diameter. I haven't measured the one on my TR6 yet will do so and let you know what it is.
The previous TR6 picture was a before picture. The car actually looks like this now

Thank you for the futher informaion. I haven't seen and heard any trap tanks on the vent line before. If I have to use the trap tank on my set up, I think I can use a motorcycle oil catch tank.
Is that orifice the same or similar purpose as the restrictor which was discribed in the Canister purge diagram?
I've ordered a canister, purge valve and hoses right now.
