Replaced calipers, pads and font broke hoses (had the hoses made). On to the back brakes, my project is moving at glacier speed. :-) but at least it's moving.

Why did you have the front hoses fabricated? They are readily available from places like Rockauto.

I couldn't find the exact hose online. Ordered 2 sets then had them made (3/8 female to 7/16 banjo) maybe my Argo is special? :-)

That's strange. The front steel brake lines that connect to the rubber lines are 3/16" lines with male fittings that screw into the end of the hose. I think the male fitting has a 5/16x20 thread on it. At least that's what came from the factory. If someone has change things around then all bets are off.

Replaced many rotted vacuum lines, plugs, plug wires, rotor cap and coil. Engine is running very smooth now. Dropped the gas tank to inspect faulty sending unit. YIKES tons of RUST! New tank and sending unit on order. Replaced all rubber fuel lines. The fun continues :-)

When I dropped my tank for the first time, I got a whole cup of loose rust out of it. Another cup when I scraped all the surfaces I could reach.
This is what my sending unit looked like when I pulled it

The float rod was cobbed together with some crude welds on the rod

Don't want to be the bearer of bad news but have you checked the new tank is baffled like to old one? Brad and I have been searching for replacement tanks, I ended up getting one made, not sure if Brad is doing the same, but there are two issues with all the current tanks.

1) They can only be used with a modern sender/pick-up (or an aftermarket pick-up used) as the diameter of the opening changed somehwere in the 1974-1976 era and you have to be careful because some modern GMC/Chevy senders are 200-0 not 0-90 and you end up with a gauge reading from 1/3 to full not full to empty!

2) The new tank isn't baffled which means two things. The fuel slops around, and on the old type gas gauges (the quadrants) even with the additional resistor that comes with the gauge to slow changes in gas level readings, the level goes up and down as you go around bends/up and down hills), and you end up having to find a flat straight section of road just to get an accurate gas level.

When I installed my TBI setup, this is what I did to keep my old tank and upgrade the fuel system. I installed a in tank fuel pump and I had to build my own sender unit for the fuel gauge

Thank you very much Martin and Wayne. I'll check my new gas tank and it does not have baffles :-/

Got the gas tank, new sending unit and new gas lines installed. Gas gauge seems to work properly! Test drive was very successful. There is however an idling issue. On occasion, shifting from park to drive or reverse stalls the engine. I imagine some carb adjustment is in order. Any ideas you may have to correct the stalling problem are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Have you checked the vacuum hose to the shift modulator on the transmission?

I have had that with the Qjet and occasionally with the TBI with a hot motor
Check all the vacuum lines at the carb for proper placement.
If everything else is OK you may have to boost the idle speed a bit

Thanks Wayne, I'll check the vacuum lines. All other seem okay, I plan to change all fluids next just for good measure.

I lost my 20' to the fire that destroyed Paradise California. I need to replace it and have something to live in while I rebuild my house. Do you want to sell yours?
