I finally was able to take some time off from work and devote it to the trailer. The belly is now all enclosed, the holding tank/dump valve plumbing installed, and the fresh water plumbing is installed as well.

Finally, I can start on the interior. In that direction I removed all the spare parts sitting in the trailer, and gave the floor two thick coats of spar varnish on top of the West System Epoxy the plywood was originally coated with. At least if it leaks, there won't be any floor damage!

I had some more vacation time and was able to get some work done on the trailer. The new interior wiring is now in. The second layer of Prodex is going in along with the original interior skins. Initially I planned to replace all of the interior skins with new aluminum, but finding .04" in a 17' sheet was difficult. So, the new idea is to install the old skins and paint them. If my wife likes the look, we will go with that. If she doesn't, I can find thin 5052 in any length I want which I will use as a vainer over the now painted old skins.

Attached are some pictures as proof that I actually worked on the trailer. This project is taking forever! What I don't have finished by Springtime, will be completed by Woodland up in Grand Rapids.

OK, I am well and truly puzzled. The pics are properly oriented in my computer prior to uploading, but then I get flipped on my head in the final version of the post. Grrrrr. Or maybe I should be happy I have a gravity defying Airstream. Just think how great my towing milage will be!

A bit more accomplished over the past week. The old interior panels are clean and re-installed. The aluminum end cap kits I purchased from Colin Hyde are buck riveted together and clecg'd in place awaiting final trim fitting. I'm waiting for an estimate to spray paint the interior a uniform silver color from our local helicopter repair shop which has a monster sized paint booth.

We were able to install the end cap kits purchased from Colin Hyde yesterday afternoon. The kits went together easily, but did require a bit of trimming to fit around the window openings fore and aft.

It's been a long project. After about three years working on it myself, the project was at the point of needing custom cabinetry made. I have the tools, but not the time. After some searching we selected Woodland Travel Center in Grand Rapids, MI to do the work. Gary did a fantastic job on the cabinets and other items. We can't speak highly enough of him and his attention to detail.

Below are the final pics of the project. We camped several nights in the trailer prior to bringing it back to Atlanta and did have any significant camping issues.
