“To every thing there is a season . . . “

If are unhappy living that far north, maybe it’s time to move?

Yeah, says the guy currently experiencing 27 degree weather.

If you really want to get away from the snow, move way South to somewhere like Las Vegas. Oh wait, they're having snow too.

That is why I live in Central California with OPTIONAL snow 1.5 hrs away and ocean 1 hr away. Nice easy drive either way.
Aside from the very occasional earthquake or fires which has never effected me personally I'm grateful for our four seasons. High cost of living and politics aside I really like the outdoor activities this state has to offer. Looking forward to camping at some of the ocean sites, mountains and wine country camping.

Hi, I remember all four of the California seasons; Fires, Floods, Earthquakes, and Riots.

Northern Wisconsin? You guys don't really have summer, do you? You just have about 5 weeks of bad sledding. Down the road, you can be a 6/6 snow bird, plenty of them down in Florida right now.

Our "Little Girl" sleeps all winter, and we try not to bother her. SOON, in a few more years, she'll be woken in January for a few months of snowbirding. Meanwhile, we bide our time, and plan our trips. February and March are the looongest months in the north. But, I've lived in southern California, and moved back to the Midwest because I missed winters. Of course, that was in 1981..... before I was afraid of falling on the ice and breaking a hip. Now that I'm retired, I don't mind the snow so much. Hubby works from home, so he doesn't have to drive in it either.
We just have to hold on for a little longer..... and hope for no snowstorms in mid April like last years fluke.

As a fellow Wisconsin resident first of all my AS is tucked away in my pole shed waiting for temperatures at least above freezing. Then a quick de-winterization and an escape in April from Wisconsin to warmer weather in southern Indiana where my daughter lives. But I will have to say we have some of the nicest places around for camping in the Spring, Summer, Fall. Lakes, forests, trails, with cool breezes, and it's all within a 4 to 5 hour drive of where I live. I'll take it any day over the desert of Arizona or the crowds in Florida. And there is nothing better than fall camping in Wisconsin. Quiet campgrounds and beautiful colors. Yes, I wish it would last longer, and this has been a long winter so far. Just makes one appreciate Spring. And with retirement coming up in a few years it will be South in March for a good 4 weeks.

So true. Almost had the Oroville dam break that was scary. Ok aside from ALL that it's a great place. There was that time too, oh and ....

mouse traps and moisture wickers are inside. No heat is on

Currently in a winter storm warning (again). Snowing like crazy with 6 - 10 inches expected by end of day. We will top the snowiest February record by noon, I think. I'm giving thanks that our trailer is under a shelter, and we don't have to go out and clean snow off the roof...
It's very pretty! But our little 13lb dog doesn't seem to think so. Poor baby!
