White Tube Identification

It's our third time out in our sport 16rb and were trying to identify all the components on the roof. We are stumped by a white tube (that appears to have a lid) and sits beside the dometic air conditioner. Any ideas? See attachment.

Hi RPM2019, welcome to the forum and greetings from central Kentucky. Congratulations on the new AS. Too bad you got a bent one.

Hi

Welcome !!!!

If it *is* a pipe vent the top end should be open to the air. If there really *is* a full sealed cap on the end of it ... it's not a (functional) vent.

What you *should* have up there:

1) A vent for the black water tank
2) A vent for the gray water tank
3) A TV antenna
4) An antenna for the radio
5) A junction for solar pre-wire.
6) The AC
7) A vent fan

Some of that may or may not be present on the 16' model. The manual for your trailer and the spec sheet (both downloadable from the AS web site) are *very* useful in sorting out what should be there.

The 16' has a combined grey/black waste tank. The white vent is for that tank and the black one is the Ventline fan in the bathroom.

its the same as the pipe on your house roof.

if expels sewer gases out of the AS
its code everywhere, plus if you didn't have it, your sink when bubble and burp as the air has to flight the water as they go in different directions
