Which holds value better Sport 16' vs FC 19'

I am new, so I apologies if this has already been discussed. All things equal, which new model would hold its value better Sport 16 vs. FC 19?

I have no idea, but I would bet on the 19'. If you buy the 16', and find that it is too small, you probably won't get all your money back, and will then have to buy the 19'.

So, you will save money by going with the 19' to begin with. (Had a 16' Bambi for a year, decided it was too small, bought a 23'. It was just right.)

The 16' is cute but has limits that many don't want to deal with in the long run, but the "cute" factor may keep it's value up. As a Sport it has fewer standard features than the FC series, no rear bumper and so on. The 16' has a single combined holding tank and wet bath, which itself is tiny. The FC's come pretty well fully equipped, two holding tanks, dry bath, awning, two batteries and so on.

My personal feeling is that the FC 20 is even better, but then I own one.

I would guess they hold about the same. Guess only. The 16 is enough cheaper that it appeals to some on the price factor so it is almost comparing apples and oranges. If I could only pick one though I would probably pick the FC 19. And I have the Sport 16.

But we really wanted the 20. Just sayin'.

The 16's seem to have a much better resale market. They are cute and appeal to people getting into the hobby who are contemplating using an existing vehicle to tow. They may be somewhat overpriced as an result.

People already in are moving to 23 and beyond after a 2 to 4 years. 25' seems a great size to me.

19s reportedly have the highest turnover with new owners going to larger or occasionally smaller in 24 months on average.

That said the 19 may be perfect for your needs and have the utility you want and lower resale means better prices buying used.

Or consider the new or lightly used 22 sport. It's narrower, cheaper, lighter, and easier to lug about than the 19. When I spoke to the AS factory rep he said that below 25' the 22 was eating the international for lunch in sales.

Get the one that suits you for the long term and don't worry about a small resale difference. That may be the 19, or a 23 (largest of the small) or 25 (smallest of the large).

I also own the FC 20. Of the Bambis it had the largest galley, more storage and a better bathroom the the 16 or 19. The bed was also larger than the 19. At this point in our life, we are still weekenders. If I could be more full time, then I would have a 25 FB

The factory rep told me the 25' FB is the makes half of all sales.
