We decided on the 22' Sport

We couldn't get our dealer to budge on the price of his 2012 23FB. They had eight 2012s and were not allowed to drop below invoice (which he showed me). I do not believe any dealership actually pays what the invoice says but I could be wrong when it comes to Airstream.

So, the wife and I purchased the 12K less expensive 22 Sport and are very excited to use it. The dealer is installing the front segment protectors and 30lb tanks with aluminum cover. I'm currently working out of state until April 1st but as soon as I get back it is off to the woods.

you will love it ... as my dearly departed father told me ...price is soon forgotten for a quality unit that is just what you want!

We looked at units at all three Michigan dealers and ended up buying in Belleville.

We liked both the 23FB and the 22, but it is just the two of us since both our daughters have graduated college and moved on, so we chose the 22. It is a little shorter and narrower but will work out great. The wife is already purchasing all her interior decorations and can't wait for me to bring it home.

Hi, sounds like you made the right choice for you and your wife; Hope you get many years of enjoyment from it. Has anyone asked or had a rear bumper installed on a Sport yet?

My wife and I visited the Airstream dealer this past weekend to compare the Sport 22FB vs Flying Cloud 20. We plan to pull it with our Pleasure Way RV (converted Mercedes Sprinter 3500) so we have a 5000# weight limit. We'll use the RV as the kitchen / den and the AS as bedroom / bath so the Sport's bigger bed and bath sold us. For once, the cheaper option works best for us.
