I got the T02-66655T because they look good with my TV and are well within spec. at 3200lbs@80psi.

The SenDel T03-66655BM look great and are a little beefier at 3580@80.

I have been following this thread as well as have had conversations with other Bambi owners and I just have to ask: Why hasn't there been a recall for this issue? I'm not a litigious minded person at all, but it seems like a serious safety problem....someone could die. I have seen where there have been recalls for items as small as improperly identified tire pressure. The full expense of correcting a design flaw really shouldn't be borne by the owners in this case (IMHO).

Actually the models at probability the highest risk are the 31' Classics with a GVW of 10,000 pounds and two axles rated 5,000 pounds. Each axle has two Goodyear 15" ST D rated tires, each rated 2,540 pounds @ 65psi. The four tires together are rated 10,160 pounds....

When our Classic 27FB at 9,000 pounds GVW arrives on the dealer's lot in February, I will bring with me and change out the 15" GYM tires and 15' wheels for 16" Sendel rims and Michelin 16" tires before I leave the lot. I will also install Centramatic balancers at the same time.

Centramatic balancers? What is this? On my previous trailer I balanced the wheels just like car wheels on a tire balancing machine.

switz, I have been wanting to use Centamatic balancers as well but am not doing it because the axle manufacturer says they offset the wheels slightly, and may reduce the life of the never-lube bearings.

There have been various opinions here about it, but I still hesitate. What are your thoughts on this?

I can't believe the thickness of Centramatics can hurt at the most they are .06/ 1/16'' of an inch thick where the fit to the hub.

The thought I have is that reduction of vibration is good for the aluminum body shell where repairs are expensive. Wheel bearings are supposedly checked every 10,000 miles or annually along with the brakes. A wheel bearing costs a lot less to replace than service work on the the trailer body for popped rivets and or water damage....

I use them on my Honda Gold Wings and all tire vibration issues ended when the Centramatics were installed.

I recently replaced 08 Bambi 19 with Hercules 10 ply tire. Highly recommended by dealers. Tire pressure recommended at 85 pounds. No problems in 4,000 miles.

Hercules has a very good reputation on some of the other message boards. I had a set of their radials on my previous trailer and they were great. Two years, maybe 7k miles approximately. No issues.

I guess you don't hear a lot about them cause there isn't that many complaints about Hercules. I had a set load range D on a 14 inch rim, and the radial was so much better than a bias ply tire I had replaced.

There sometimes would be random items laying in the floor of the trailer after a trip. Either we got better at storing, or the tires gave it a much improved ride. I gave credit to the tires, cause the trailer pulled so much better too.
I have seen a few post on here that own Hercules tires. They are a very good option to keep in mind. Just sayin'

Have a good one!

I see your post was a few years ago. We are looking for a replacement for the stock tires on our 22FB sport (2016). What 16" rim did you get, and did it fit? Are you happy with the tires?

Airstream has been using the 16" SenDel T03-66655T aluminum wheel on the Eddie Bauer models for many years and it is standard on the 2015 and later Classics and the limited edition 2016 Pendleton (Eddie Bauer rear door model). They are for sale at the entrance to the Jackson Center Customer service Center entrance along with the 16" Michelin LT225/75R16/E LTX M/S2 tires (or the current Defender model with the same size specification).

That is the combination we installed at our expense on our 2014 Classic.

We left the stock 10" drum brakes on our 2015 23D International Serenity but upgraded to the 15" SenDel T03-56545T wheels that match the design appearance of the ones on our 2014 Classic along with the 15" Michelin LTX (P) 235/75R15 XL tires like we used on our 2013 25FB International Serenity.
