Ultra Leather Replacement Cushion Covers

The 2015 sports have an ultra leather option. I, however, have a 2013 22' Sport model. Based on the brochure pics, the cushions look the same, just different covers. Anyone know if Airstream will just sell me the covers? I wonder how much it would be. I was going to look in the parts manual for a 2015, but there isn't one online. Go figure! Anyone know if Airstream will sell just the cushion covers? Anyone with a 2015 22' Sport have the parts manual and could see if there's a part number for them? Any opinions on ultra leather? The current fabric on our cushions is itchy and hard to clean, not fun. Is the ultra leather tough enough for a dog's feet?

The UL is soft and seems durable (so far) but I don't have a dog. However, the aspect that may make you second guess your decision (to swap) is how slippery it is. It's so smooth that many people complain (including myself) about constantly sliding.

We replaced the cloth cushion covers on our 2011 25' FC with UL purchased from Airstream through Colonial. Colonial shipped them to us. The UL covers fit the cushions perfectly and, so far, have worn well. Price was north of $2G. Best, Joe.

Holy cow! 2G! I was thinking 500 or so. Does the 25' FC have a ton of cushions?

Cushions

I too have a 2013 sport and am in the process of seeing my own zippered slipcovers for all the cushions and pillows. Airstream was kind enough to email me the measurements so I can make my own patterns. I would be happy to email the measurements if you choose to do the same.

UL is pricey. A local shop made new foam/UL cushions for my Bambi II. Coest was about $1500.

Love the UL in spite of the cost. Highly recommended.

Our 86 Limited had fabric cushion covers that worked okay until the beagle came along. This winter we decided to upgrade to ultra leather for ease of cleaning, durability, and good looks. It is a significant upgrade $$$$.

The recliner in our Airstream is ultra leather and it has held up well, and is comfortable.

I hope we made the right decision.

Can you please email them to me as well? Can you sew ultraleather with a regular sewing machine? My email is: jarrodandtiffany@att.net
Thanks!

My wife is an avid quilter. She spends many hours at her machine. She says you probably can sew ultra leather with a regular machine. Special needles and thread may be required. She said with cording, you could have up to 4 thickness of the material under the needle. You need a good, sturdy machine.

Maybe try a lumbar support pillow for the tow vehicle first?

I found an old Singer 15-91 like this,
The Model 15-91 is a low shank sewing machine that has an oscillating hook. It takes Class 15 bobbins and 15x1 needles.

on eBay for $99. My wife is also a quilter and didn't want to risk her expensive computer sewing machines on upholstery. The Singer is a tuff old brute of a machine that handled the ultra leather when we redid the chairs in our Moho.

Cats will wreck anything, including real leather. My big golden has done fine on the ultraleather. I trim her nails before a big trip, so far no problems. (Knock on wood).

Our daughter has two cats and lots of leather furniture. She uses Soft Paws on both cats and the furniture is safe.

If still available, I would love to have these measurements (if for a 22' sport dinette). Thank you, Janice

Our 2015 came with the fabric interior, we switched over to the ultra leather and it was worth it. It really made the interior of the camper pop. Plus the feel is so worth it. I highly recommend it
