For some reason I can't get forum photos to show up on my iPad. They do, however, show up when I use my computer. Are you trying to view them on a mobile device?

Trailer Valet XL

So, after much online shopping and comparing I spent the $580 on the XL. Here's why- Own a Sport 22FB that I'd like to spin around in my driveway so it can be displayed for sale. Have a 27FB Pendleton arriving soon and needed the heavier load rating. So far I've only attached it to the hitch and moved it a few feet using a DeWalt 20V drill. It works great so far... I'll post some photos when I get the Sport back from the shop and have it attached.

Have you tried this with your Pendleton? Picking mine up in a week or so and may need something like this to make a right turn to the driveway.

The original link for this item on Amazon indicates it is not available and they do not know when it will be re-stocked.

I like my Trailer Valet XL. You do have to be careful and be sure it is tightened down and check it every once in a while as it does have a tendency to loosen itself if you turn it too quickly. Go slow and be patient and the unit works fine. It is rated for 500 pounds tongue weight.

I saw an ad for the XL and I would love to upgrade mine. With all the equipment we have on the nose of our little 16 it would be great to get away from the bracket. If anyone here wants to buy a gently used trailer valet "classic" drop me a PM.

Can you use the Trailer Valet TV5 on a Sport 22FB?

I'm looking at the Trailer Valet for a 2019 Sport 22 FB. It doesn't look like there is room to put a bracket on for the Trailer Valet TV5X (211), which would be nice to aid in quick hitching to a vehicle. It sounds like some have been able to attach it to the Sport 16, but it isn't clear to me how this was done. Should I still consider the Trailer Valet TV5X or consider the Trailer Valet XL instead?

Thanks

I have the Trailer Valet XL for my Bambi Sport 16 2019...
Use to steer into my barn...during bad weather events...
Easily stored in my TV ...
For the amount of use it gets, Iím happy I went with this setup over the frame mounted version ...also the straight on approach from the ball hitch makes directing the RV easy for me...
Good Luck...!

we bought the trailer valet first. it is OK
BUT it is very limited in terms of the ability to steer the trailer. as it is attached on on one side of the frame, you can turn the trailer one way far more than the other directions. also the frame of the valet hits the trailer frame, thus you get less than 90 degrees of movement

we have a curved driveway and it was almost impossible to move the trailer where we wanted it to be

we now use the parkit360. https://parkit360.ca/

it give us total control and we can turn the trailer 270 degrees vs less than 90 degrees with the trailer valet

you can even take the trailer lift shoe off and insert the post into the parkit 360 socket and now you have total mobility.

we power it off the inside trailer battery

you can see the now unused trailer valet on the side

Trailer Valet 16' Bambi Sport

I have a very 'tight' space next to my garage to park my 16' Sport. I measured this space carefully before I purchased the Airstream. I did not have the ability to back it in with my TV and after research I decided on the Trailer Valet. I was pleasantly surprised how convenient and precise I was able to put my Airstream in this space. I was very nervous at first, but the "slow and easy" approach with many checks, if you do not have a spotter, slipped it right into place with no problems. If I have to move a longer distance, I use my DeWalt battery drill motor with the adapter provided. This approach saves your back as you have to be bent over when cranking by hand. I am not sure why some people posting are talking about using it on one side of their frame. I set mine up with a "ball" that fits directly into the receiver. No problem steering at all. I can turn mine around on the center axis of the axle if needed. I bought mine from etrailer.com. Also, make sure you get the upgraded version with solid tires, not the intertube tires that were originally used. I am very satisfied with the quality and utility of this device.

Impressive fit! Are you able to get in the trailer while it is parked?

Airstream door access when parked

UncleBad,

Unfortunately I am not able to access my 16' Bambi when parked along side of my garage. The good news is that I don't have to pay storage for a place where I can access the door when parked!

Just add a door at the side of your garage to match the AS door. Problem solved.

If you need to move your 27 ft Airstream up a 15% grade. Here you go. DaveClick image for larger version

You must be much more patient than I am!

We are lucky and are able to store at home and have access. Not paying for storage sure is great!

Do you make use of the 7-way connector going up your hill for trailer brake control? I noticed it isnít plugged in.

I have had two Trailer Valets and they both worked flawlessly. I am getting older and decided to invest in a mover with a motor. Otherwise, I would have kept using the Trailer Valet....it's affordable, easy to use and does what it say it will do.
