Has anyone had trouble locking and unlocking the rotating units on the access panel to the under bed storage at the back of their 16' Bambi's?
Mine are very hard to operate especially in cold weather. I've lubricated the locks and the left one is so stiff I'm afraid the key will break off in the lock.
I imagine they are like on the other late model trailers. There is a steel swinging "arm" latch on the inside of the lock. Take it off and bend it ever so slightly, just enough to make it more movable, and put it back on. You could also add a little lube to it.
But be very careful it's not too loose as water could then blow past the door seal.
A way to check it the seal is tight enough is to turn on the light inside the compartment (or put a flashlight inside) at night when it is dark outside. Then look all around the seal for any light coming through a gap in the seal.
