Scam on Craigslist for 2011 Bambi

We responded to a listing on Craigslist in northern Michigan for a 2011 Bambi Sport for the crazy price of $12,500. Got a response with pictures of what appears to be a nearly new unit, in pristine condition. Owner says the trailer is located in Ames, Iowa and they will deliver. This must be a scam, right??

Welcome. Old saying, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. Can you post a link to the add.

^^ Oops... responded too slow.

There is that saying about things sounding too good to be true. I'd advise caution.

Gut feeling is that it is a scam.

Doesn't look like a 2011.

It actually might be a 2011 sport. I was comparing it to my 2011 FC.

I was recently toying with someone who claimed to have a 2001 19' Bambi for sale for $2000. The Craig's List ad seemed to indicate it was in the middle of Indiana, but the email I received from the fake seller said it was in Provo Utah. They offered to ship it for free, as the trucking company had already been paid to transport for a deal that fell through, and insisted there was no negotiation. When I offered to meet them in Provo, bring cash, would pay full price based upon the photos in the ad, and reimburse them for the shipping loss they suffered.........poof!

When I was looking for a airstream I figure at least 75% of the Craigslist ads were scams. Airstreams seem to be a popular vehicle for scams. For some reason the title of the listing of the scams often has seemingly meaningless letters included?
