Finished a trip to Big Bend NP in west Texas in May 2018. It was HOT out there during the day requiring AC on until sundown. Being a desert, nights were fine with the windows open.

The refrigerator performed on ac all day with no noticeable loss of cooling. Day outside temps ran 99-105 with inside about 85F. I did have the refrigerator fan on during run time.

Hey Msherw, we stayed in Big Bend Chisos Basin on May 12th. No electric hook ups and "Quiet Hours" prevented running the generator. It was warm as you say, but ok after 10pm running the Maxxfan.

Shiny16-
Our Novacool 3.1cf kept ice cubes frozen and fridge in low 40's-high 30's running on battery overnight. Once we got to cooler weather in Yellowstone, fridge maintained low 30's. I'd assume it would have a tougher job handling today's August heat.

We don't have a fridge thermo but the ice in the freezer was still solid and the milk was cold. I'm guessing 38-40 in lower unit. 28F in the freezer. {guess}

The inside temp in the AS ran about 82F with outside at 100+. We did have the little red switch on that reads "Refer Fan". It help carry all the ac or LP generated refrigerator heat to the outside world.

Thanks for that. If the milk stayed fresh I’d say it was in a good range.
