recliner upgrade in 16' Bambi CCD International?

I'd like to know whether anyone has taken out the curbside dinette bench, removed the table and had a recliner installed. I'll be going to Ultimate Airstream in Portland next week when visiting my brother and will talk to them. But I'm curious about other folks' experience. Also, the recliner at Ultimate Airstream is about $2,000, so it's not a cheap fix. Anyone?

I don't know about doing it in a 16', which is more narrow, but it's a common change in something like our 25'. A lot of people go with a Lambright chair, which is narrow and designed for RV use. We got ours for under $900 shipped if I remember correctly.

16 Bambi Sport

Greetings, I have the 16 Bambi Sport. I am not familiar with yours. But I took out dinette. I bought a recliner from a local furniture dealer and have it setting in the old table area. I also installed a Lagun articulating table to use as counter or work or eating table. When traveling I secure chair with paracord to fresh water tank/driver side. Works great for me and glad I did it.

You're the first person I'm heard from who's done this in a 16-foot trailer. Is your recliner on a swivel, and, if so, is there enough room (at a diagonal) to extend the footrest out and tilt back the chair for sleeping? Also are you also using the cushion over our fresh water tank as a seat?

Greetings,
I have a swivel rocker recliner. Sets on small throw rug. Easy to move around without damaging floor. I am able to position it for full reclining and everything in between.
I do not use cushion on fresh water tank area. I have totes there now. I also installed Lagun articulating table. Can raise it for a counter, lower and swivel to eating/computer table.

Sounds like a good upgrade for solo travelers who don't entertain inside.

Hello, I installed the base plate of Lagun table, on 2017 Sport 16RB, just around the corner from LP leak monitor. This is very near refrigerator door. I used much caution so there was no interference with door. The table top is a very large cutting board. I off set placement of table top so swivel of top could be utilized better for my purpose. squeezed my hand and arm between fresh water tank to install. It can be done. Lol. Good Luck. Was well worth the effort.

ID:	338497. I reconfigured the original table to fit the space and mounted it on the chrome pedestal and put an aluminum flat bar to fasten to the wall. The recliner can swivel to face the back pano window, the table, or the TV.

I had the bench seat and table removed from my 19' Bambi. An additional cabinet was added which also gave some counter space. A small drop-down table replaced the original. The recliner is a wall-away from Living Spaces.
