Propane Heater HOT with nearby wires

Hey All,

I was just starting to go thru my Bambi to do a thourough compressed air blow out and vacuum of everything. I pulled out the drawer and flip down door above the heater to expose the area and found (alot of dust) loose wires that were leaning against the heater burner housing. That sucker gets hot. I moved the wires and cable tied them together with a bunch at the cabin wall.

Good thing I checked this 'cause it certainly would have been a melted, and maybe short circuit misery. I hadn't run the heater yet (new Bambi).

I also found a pair of wires that were just cut with a bit of copper strands exposed, also near the housing flopping around.

Also...ehhum..found what looks to be a heat shield that was supposed to be under the housing to protect the floor from the heater. It was loose and sliding arond in the area, not doing it's job.

These things are all added to my list of poor QC from Airstream. Disappointing, but not the end of the world.

How long has Dave been at AS?

Never got any response at all from the Factory several years ago after

purchasing the Classic. Really felt there was no one listening.
