overhead cabinet

Hi all, I'm a new member of the forum and will have my new 2019 sport 22fb in late June. I love all the ideas and mods I've seen on this forum since joining. I've already ordered the lift kid. LOL And plan a few other upgrades in the future.

I was wondering if anyone thought of adding a second cabinet over the dining area. I was thinking of making one or ordering from airstream like the one that sits over the sink.

Any thoughts for, against this project would be appreciated.

sinfulpride, If you are handy enough to do the mounting of the upper cabinet, and are buying one premade from Airstream to fit the space over the dining area, I say go for it! Mod it to be better for your own use. You will probably like it more than the way it comes from the factory. Also gives you extra storage which can only be a good thing! Remember the head room! Ed

I'm a very handy guy. Wondering if anyone has done something similar and how much the cabinet would cost from airstream. I might just buy the door hardware and do it myself. First i need to get my hands on the new trailer !

Be careful drilling the mounting holes in the ceiling not to accidentally drill into any DC wiring. AS often runs wire for the running lights and overheads up there. Its hard to know exactly where it is, and you won't know you've hit a wire until too late.

Don't ask me how I know this.
