Our dealer also has a new "package" that includes full inspection, filled tanks, install of hitch/brake controller, exterior polish, orientation, and overnight stay w/ full hookups if you desire. The starter kit they provide has a fresh water hose, waste water hose, toilet paper, black tank chemicals, 30 - 15 amp adapter, disposable gloves, and a small bucket.

BTW, they were recently informed of a 4% cost increase for 2015 models (that's dealer cost I believe).

They are a Zamp Solar authorized dealer...I'm thinking of some portable panels, but not sure what size to get - how do you figure out what it would take to replenish 50% of your batteries? Or what is reasonable to expect from solar?

Thanks for all the suggestions & opinions, it really did help to make our decision more thoughtful of a process!
Enjoy - we know that you will. I miss the FC20 we traded in !!!
We found that the Honda EU200i met our needs for the microwave, but was a bit limited for the A/C and convection. So, we bought another EU2000i Companion just to be sure. We were told that the Yam or Honda 3000 watt gens would run easily. So, we now have an electric start EU3000is ... very quiet, too.

I have a 16' that has the roof mounted solar panel and love it. One problem with generators is some camping sites (NP's) limit their use to certain hours or forbid them all together. And they don't have electrical in all of their camping sites.

chevl66,

I would also consider a portable solar panel. The great thing about these is that you can place and orient them to generate maximum amount of energy even in the morning and afternoon when most installed panels generate very little energy because the sun is not directly shining on them. The other advantage is that you can put the AS under a shady spot and place the panels out in the sun thus keeping the AS cool while maximizing energy generation.
