Max Air Vent

I just purchased a smoke tinted Max Air vent which I'm going to install over my roof vent on my 2013 16' Bambi.

I looks like I might be able to mount it to the sides of the vent cover and not drill holes into the roof.

Has anyone out there installed one on their AS? Any feeback would be greatly appreciated.

Are talking about one of these? MaxxAir Roof Vent Covers - Product - Camping World

We've installed them on two previous SOB trailers. They have clips that attach to the roof vent to hold them in place. No holes through the roof needed, but you do need to drill holes through the sides of the roof vent that sticks above the roof line. When closed, the original vent cover covers the holes you drill to attach the clips to the vent. One hole per clip and there are 4 clips.

You might want to try reading the instructions. It's pretty clear you don't drill holes in the roof.

Max Air Vent

Well I installed the Max air vent cover over the week end. Funny the cover didn't come with an instruction sheet but one of my neighbors who has a 5th wheel assisted me on getting it installed.

I'm glad I went with the dark tint see through unit as it blends well with the aluminum skin of the AS. Now I need to see if Dometic makes a black or dark color A/C replacement cover. If not I might repaint it silver or black to blend in with the body.
