Leveling jacks

I bent the two front jacks and I am wondering if the scisor jacks would be better than the original jacks?

Stabilizing jacks, not leveling jacks. Is that how you bent them. Scissors jacks would just be used for stabilizing the trailer. Jim

Welcome, I do not think it matters which style you use. As long as you do not try to use them for actually leveling the trailers, stabilizing yes, but not designed for lifting/leveling.

Crank 'em down til they touch the ground, then a bit more til the trailer jumps a tiny bit.

I use a cordless drill with a 9/16" socket bit. When the drill starts to twist out of my weak old hand, that's enough.

The original "BAL" jacks fold up closer to the bottom of the trailer. The scissors jacks hang down more, so less ground clearance. I bought 4 new BAL jacks for my Argosy when I got it, as it had none from the factory. I also think the scissors jacks look ugly hanging down under the trailer. Just my opinion though.

To level my Bambi, I bought a nifty leveling wedge. I've used it several times and it's as easy as this video makes it look.

If you bent the jacks you probably bent the frame cross members as well or stripped some of the threads out of the inboard mounting holes. The metal there is not very thick.

I bought the BAL. Tried once, works nice. Just one drawback, seems storing it costs some space. Bambi16 is too small.
