an iffy auction on ebay

eBay Motors: Urgent Airstream Safari Bambi 16 Travel Trailer RV Sell (item 250121372176 end time Jun-04-07 09:09:32 PDT)

I think this auction is a scam--so please beware. I did report it to ebay--they said it doesn't look like the seller's account was hacked so the seller may be the scammer.

2 reasons--the seller requests to not be contacted through ebay, and the buy it now price is way too low.

Also, "Trailer has only been used 5 times" and "35,000 miles" two quotes from the listing add to the suspicion IMO. No doubt, it's a scam...buyer beware!

I had it done to me years ago...NEVER click on a "account verification notice" that looks like it came from ebay...the scammers are very good at making them look legitimate, but they aren't - ebay doesn't EVER send out emails like that...

Yeah, I was just looking at the seller's other items and concluded that some scum bag must have hijacked an account.

Has anyone reported this to ebay security?

yeah, I've done as much as i can d0--reported it to ebay, and emailed the seller--not at the special email addy of course!

My account was hacked 3 weeks ago in the middle of selling my Arg--and it was a nightmare--that's why I'm alert to this.

It's a perfect day to get away with something--maybe collect a payment before they finally shut down the auction.

Bogus 4 sure. Anytime you see an email request to avoid eBay's communication set up, it'll be a fraud.

To Report:
1) click on "help"
2.) look on the left and cliick on "contact us"
3.) fill in the blanks and send.
