How are your Insides?
We all love our Airstreams, Me, too, and take lots of pictures of our babies in all sorts places. Some with lights strung on the awning pretty as can be, or in the middle of some gorgeous park. But I am curious, what do we all do with the interiors. How do we decorate our Bambi's. What special features do we install to make the coach as comfy as possible? So, I am hoping some of you will take a picture of the inside of your Bambi and show us what you have done.
Sharing the love,
Sandy

What have you done in your brick and stick home to make it comfortable? Special curtains, rugs blankets, pillows, etc.

I first thought it was silly when my wife stuffed artificial Ivy on top of the tambour cabinets over the galley. But after a trip or two, I realized it added a sweet personalization, and subdued calm to the interior.
(I guess us guys would just run amok without the ladies guidance.)

Decorating "Milley"
I've decorated my 22fb Sport with photos that I've taken of my travels. Here's a link:

Are the smaller photos on the walls done on canvas prints or metal prints? And any info on your technique for hanging?
I replaced the white marker board with this vintage style picture from a calendar and framed in a frame from Ikea that is all plastic with no glass. Up with sticky velcro.

22 sport closet
I also did these little things to get the closet more organized. Easy and inexpensive.
For the door pockets, I got a hanging shoe bag and just cut off the bottom. Then it is stapled to the door with a staple gun. I use this for rolls of trash bags, Off, tablecloth clips, flashlight, sunscreen and such.
I can fit 2 of these plastic sliding drawers on the top shelf. I also got a really big one (not shown) that sits on the bottom of the closet floor. I had all my clothes for a 10 day trip in these three drawers. Then my husband has his clothes hanging and in a duffle that could sit on top of the large drawer on the closet floor.
For quick weekends we usually just each bring a duffle. But for a long trip the plastic drawers worked really well for keeping things from turning to chaos.
I was recently thinking that maybe there would be a way to make an access panel at the bottom of the closet by the floor to reach into the low point drains to empty them. (we put our rig away clean and dry every time, so we drain these each trip).
If I could figure this out, then we could put something more permanent in the closet. As it is now, I need to be able to completely empty the closet each trip before we leave to get to the low point drains. Which is a pain.

I have the same question for RPatrick16. Those three prints or photographs how are they attached. They look nice there.

Thanks for your reply. The prints are mounted on their own backer board. I got them made at Walmart; they aren't expensive at all. As for how they are mounted ,I used double stick tape. Be careful as on a small photo it doesn't take much. A small 1/2 by 1/2 on each corner is more than enough.
I have "admired" your print that you mounted in place of the "whiteboard". I have some larger "canvas prints" (Walmart again) that I am giving serious consideration to mounting where the "white board' is presently mounted. I am thinking about moving it to the "bathroom door or the closet door".

Thanks
Removing the white board was pretty easy. I used dental floss in a sawing motion behind the white board. It came off easily in under a minute
Then I used rubbing alcohol and goof off to get the adhesive off.

Great surf theme
Where did you find that retro space ball clock? What a cool find.

Now that is neat.....more great ideas. Actually, these trailers are just "one big ole canvas" to work with.

Ohh! I'm envious of all the beautiful touches you all have done. Does anyone NOT use their dinette? My husband doesn't like sitting at it. ( I do). And the bed is too small for us both, so we keep the dinette down as a "sofa/bed" all the time with extra memory foam mattress on top. I will admit it is a comfy place to sit and read or relax. I've put some fun throw pillows on it and a nice comforter but I miss the table. We have a small folding table we use when we must eat inside. Not the same. 😕

We keep the dinette as a lounger for hanging out inside on hot days. One of us hangs on the bed and the other on the lounger. We read, listen to music, and watch movies, and nap.
If we need to eat inside we put it up as the table. I also tend to have it as the table if I am doing a lot of food prep or dishes and need the surface area.
The table on the 22 is on a single post that rises up and down kind of like your office chair. So it's pretty easy to adjust.
We usually cook and eat outside, and tend to camp at campgrounds (not RV parks) so there is always a picnic table at the campsite.
We find the inside table comfortable for eating, but since we pretty much cook outside we usually eat outside unless it's too hot or too cold.

Hello visOrdOwn,
The picture on our avatar was taken a few weeks ago while camping in Ventura, CA. A state beach called Emma Woods where you park just inches from the surf. It was pretty spectacular. It is dry camping, no picnic table, but who cares with the sound of the waves as you drift off to sleep at night. Anyway, Emma Woods was the perfect last night out after three weeks on the road.

Awesome picts and spot. I grew up watching lethal weapon and tequila sunrise with RV'ing on or near the ocean, so it is a lifelong goal to camp as close to the ocean as possible. Emma Woods looks a bit safer/more serene than Pismo. Thanks for sharing.
