Great for sink in Bambi 22 or interstate

I wanted to share this great colander and dish basket from Ikea.

It nests together and one pan has holes so it can be used for rinsing produce.

The solid pan is a great dishpan. It fits in the sink and still leaves about half of the sink accessible.

When cleaning up, I put it on the counter next to the sink with hot soapy water. Then I put hot clear water in the sink for rinsing. It worked really nicely

And the handles make it easy to carry. I had water with a bit of coffee grounds and bacon grease, so I dumped up at the bathrooms instead of down my tanks.

The pans fit well in the under sink cabinets. And it is a very nice quality product.

Thanks for the recommendation (aka. trailer purchase enabling, ha). I was heading to Ikea regardless to buy a hanging wardrobe for in the closet, and I took a look at this combo & picked one up.

Admitted, I hadn't thought too much about putting our dishwater down the drain (I left the strainer in to ensure no particles missed while scraping made it down), but I can definitely see the value in not putting the greasy / soapy water down if avoidable. I think this will work well.

Thanks.

I haven't used the strainer much but figured it would be handy for rinsing veggies and draining foods.

I use the pan by itself and really like how if fits in the sink and still allows for the sink and faucet to be used.

Sorry about the image being turned 90 degrees. I don't know how to change that.

Looks like a great idea. Thank you for sharing. I may need to stop at IKEA on the way home tomorrow.

Shout out to Piggy Bank on these nesting tubs. We made a special trip to the nearest Ikea to buy them. Got lost in the store trying to take a short cut to check out. We wash our dishes in the tub on the counter and rinse them in the strainer sitting in the sink and place them on a drying mat on the dining table.
