This am my temp gauge says 30f in there so i think its OK.

I turn the fridge on two days before a trip, fill up two ice cube trays and put them in the freezer. If they freeze over night the fridge is working. The temp gauge shows temp in the cooler area. If you open the door a lot or long it will read higher, but should get into the 30s. You want things to be below 40 degrees for best temp.

I plug it in about two days ahead of time.

I have a fridge gauge and I use another one for the freezer. It's been showing -7 pretty consistent.

I still haven't heard the fan come on yet, but its beeen cool lately. I'll try the jumper idea sometime to test it .

We had this happen also

We asked about it not coming on when we first got the trailer, and the dealer moved the thermostat closer to the source of heat, so then the fan comes on a lot more often. At first I thought it was coming on too often. If we are in an area where it is really quiet, or if we are low on battery, we turn it off. Some Wally Byam members told us they replaced the fan with a quieter computer fan, but we haven't looked any further into that solution for the noise.

Well sometime It comes on I'll know if I need to replace it or not. But not likely this time of year.

Not to hijack this refer light thread for a fan swap for lower db higher flow fan thread.... Search refer fan. No shortage of threads.

Best $20 and certainly the cheapest AS Mod ever. Don't over engineer it, just a straight swap and go quiet and effecient.
