Hi Dave,
Actually I have been planning spring/summer 2010 since last September! lol
We will start out the spring in our teardrop April 23rd weekend at Fish Creek (upstate NY), then switch to our Airstream by memorial weekend. Lots of trips planned, mainly Fish Creek plus a road trip to Bar Harbour in June.
Camping Schedule: Fish Creek Pond - Dave and Kates Camping Schedule
We're pretty addicted to lakeside camping at Fish Creek, so we mainly camp there.
Here is our other trailer (teardrop) which we camp in, in the spring:
There is an Airstream rally at Donaldson's across the street from Fish Creek each year. Have not attended, but have gone over to say hi to folks. We often run into Collin Hyde (well known in the AS community) at Fish Creek as well.
Cheers

We just purchased #6 last weekend, in the Portland, Oregon area where it had made it's way from Colorado. Until this weekend, it had never been used with every sticker, piece of tape, and label in place, and also looks like it has always been stored indoors since new with all three vent covers totally free from UV exposure.
We just returned from a short weekend shake down, and everything worked (surprising since it's sat for so long) except the batteries won't hold a charge. But they are dated May, '06 so not surprised there. I'm putting two Blue Tops in today, and will soon replace the 15" Marathon's with 16" Michelin or BFGs on the correct Dexstars with Baby Moons.
We had heard that the fabric in ours is uncommon, so please comment if you can. The backrests in ours is a blue & green plaid. Is this standard for all?
I'll include a couple pix I took yesterday.
By the way, we only went to a new dealer in Milwaukie, OR to check them out and ended up trading our 16' '05 CCD, which wasn't even on our radar. We didn't even know what the dealer had on their lot, and had never seen an '07 David Winick, but when we saw it couldn't resist the temptation. We camp a lot, and adding less than three more feet is going to be an amazing difference.

We're on Iron Mountain near Chandler, so whenever our Airstream is home we get lots of curious lookers, since it's such a popular walking street and our driveway is very visible. Mostly she's under cover in Hubbard at the 99E RV Storage facility.

Congrats on your purchase! Our Bambi does not have the plaid seat backs; our backs match the seat bottoms. Also, we do not have the little backsplash to the left of the cooktop or the "Bambi" insignia to the right of the exterior door. Who knows, maybe they made subtle changes along the way. The plaid seems a bit different, but if it works for you, then great.
It's a very FUN trailer. I'd like to know more about your wheel/tire switch, as I am not fond of the oem tires either.

KD7: Congratulations and welcome to the Winick Bambi club! My '07 does not have the plaid seats, this may have been somebody's creative design? Our seats & seatbacks are the same as your seat cushions. Also, I do not have the backsplash to the left of the cooktop. Enjoy your new coach!

No plaid in #18
Our seat backs match the cushions, no back splash to the left of the cooktop and no Bambi emblem by the door.

I'm proud to announce that I just became the owner of the #57 75th Bambi. Found it south of Austin, Tx at a camper dealer. I also have a '66 Trade Wind that I've been working on. I think this is my first -ever post in the Airstream Forums. Heather. (Ethel is the name of the '66)

"Ethel" Congrats and welcome! It's nice to meet you and I know you'll enjoy your Winick Bambi! We use our mostly on local rallies with our club and always draw curious visitors in the campground. ps - I just purchased David Winick's, "Airstreams, Custom Interiors" book wherein he goes in depth about the design process and working with Airstream on building the 75th Anniversary model. You can find it, and possibly get an autographed copy, through David (david@vintagetrailering.com)
Dave @ Campadk - Congratulations on your fabulous photos in the book!

Just ordered my copy of "Airstreams, Custom Interiors" from David Winick's web site, vintagetrailering.com. If you want you can get one of the singned and sequentially numbered copies there. Or if a signed copy is not your thing, you can find it on Amazon.

Wow! I haven't posted on here in some time... Noticed last month that my 40winker site 'disappeared' which include the 75th registry link. Finally fixed it today. I'm going to revamp the whole site... its getting kind of old anyways.
I've added Heather's #57 as well which I was missing to the registry. Congrats!
We did a few things with our 40 Winker last year including converting about 6 of the main lights we use to LED, and spending a few hours sealing up some holes mice where getting in through. We also did our first major trip with our Bambi to the east coast. This years trip will be a bit closer, the Finger Lakes (western New York). I'll post a few photos later.

Dave, good to see that you're back and the site is back up. After reading Winnick's book, I'm becoming more and more entranced by the 75th.
Too bad Airstream didn't take the functional changes he made (the L-shaped lounge, the much longer galley) and implement them in the normal 19-footer.

Bambi 75th Anniv S/E Spotted in CA
On April 10, 2011 my wife spotted a Winick 75th on I-680 South around Pleasanton California. She thought it had Oregon plates. Go Bambi !

Actually we are on the forum, just never posted before and weren't aware of this thread. We ordered our Winick Bambi in April 2006 after hearing David's VAP interview and looking at his website. We took delivery from Intermountain Coach in Colorado Springs on May 31, 2006, and were surprised to get #1 since #3 had been delivered by Intermountain Coach earlier. Although it's not our first trailer, it is our first Airstream, and we love it. BAMBI75 is it's license plate, and we tow with a silver 2005 Touareg (license plate THMPER). Both have damage from a 2007 hail storm which also took out our house roof. We have shown our Bambi at two RMVAC rallies and at the Gillette WBCCI International (faux vintage). We have used this great trailer on two WBCCI National Caravans in 2010 and will use it again on the Northern Experience Caravan in 2011. The attached photo is from our first trip to Moab in June, 2006.

#18 hail damage
Carl & Marlene --- #18 resides due south of your #1 in Los Alamos, New Mexico. I was interested to hear about #1 being hail damaged. #18 was damaged in a 2009 hail storm, which also took out our house roof. We had Holiday Travel Trailer in Albuquerque replace all ten curved end cap panels. She looks better than new, especially since there was some fillimon corrosion on a couple of the panels.
We often trave through Colorado Spring with the Bambi and we enjoy camping in Mueller State Park west of you.
Steve.
