FCloud9,

Seeing as you are in PA, we plan to bring the Cabin Cruiser to the TCT meet at Sampson State Park, NY in September. Will be our first TCT event!

David Winick 75th Anniversary Bambi Registry

Campadk - Fantastic job, love it!
We just returned from a two week road trip, and happened to be at the KOA at Manchester, California the same time as a vintage rally. Many of the vintage folks were very interested in our Winick, so we gave a lot of tours, and we spent a lot of time enjoying their vintage trailers as well.

David Winick is consigning a 25' trailer he built a for a couple. It is stunning. Those of us with a 75th should be interested in drooling over this.

Hello, and Happy Holidays!

Hi everyone and Happy Holidays!
It's David Winick with some news. If anyone is looking for a 75th Anniversary model look no further if you're seriously in the market for a new custom Airstream.
I am offering new [2017] shells from Airstream with custom built interiors. Lengths from 16' thru 26'. Prices begin at $80k.
I have ordered a 19' shell for my partner and myself. It's on the assembly line right now.
I'm uploading a pic. It has custom windows and many, many upgrades.
Can hardly wait to get rockin on the interior.
PM me if you have any questions.

OK David, I see how the 2 rear windows would help, but with the wraparound front end, can you still do the sconces and handy street-side shelf?

Hello and happy holidays!
Yes, can still employ the sconces. The shelf, I'm not sure about. I think it will fit but not positive. Hope so, as I have many of them left over from the production run.

There have been times when I wanted more light or a view, then I look at that interior, and everything's good.
Still loving our #06 after many good years of camping.
Thank you!

Just FYI there is one sitting close to where I store my AS, in Fort Worth TX. Doesn't look like it has moved for a couple of years (2013 registration). One tire is flat. Makes me sad every time I go to mine.

Roadhoop, that's a regular 2007 Bambi with the 75th Anniversary badge that was used on all Airstreams that year. The 75th Custom by David Winick has some special clues in addition to the number plate next to the entry door. Starting at the front, they do not have the wrap-around window, the entry door has a round porthole-style window (the only Airstream to use this), the side window arrangements are unique for this size trailer and include the upper vista-view windows, and they have steel wheels and baby moon hubcaps.

Ours has the Bambi plates on the sides and rear, but believe most came without them.

Thanks for the correction! Still a cute little trailer, not being used.

David Winick 75th Anniversary Bambi Registry

Roadhoop, I hope my post didn't sound condescending to you. Very few Airstreamers have seen a Winick Custom, and with the 75th Anniversary badge on the other 19' Bambi's that year, one could be easily misled. So I just wanted to point out the exterior visual clues unique to the Custom.
It's always sad to see a nice trailer like that sitting unused and neglected.
Happy New Year everyone!

Have started working on the 19' custom shell from the factory.
I added a couple items that I felt were lacking in the original edition.
An extra curbside window stack and front wrap around windows. There are also extra things in the interior that I felt were needed. The floor plan will basically be the same but with some modifications. I'm aiming to make it seem even more spacious than the original but with tons of storage.
Not sure yet what number or ? to badge it. I have blank badges.

That's so cool. It would be interesting to know if there were any differences between the two. Or similar issues (the overhead cabinet panels always fall out!)
