Your solution is simple. Since you have an iPhone, why not just buy a portable bluetooth speaker for $99? Saves on power, you don't have to connect anything and you don't have to put up with the 2 cent speakers Airstream installed!

Works perfect, sounds better and you can move the speaker around in the cabin, or outside if you want to listen outdoors.

While on the AV topic...

I'd suggest just ripping the whole system out. It is complete junk as well as a real power hog. We ditched the TV and the stupid disk changer. The speakers rattle and are about the worst quality you can buy.

I'm going to rip out the amp, huge mess of wires along with the subwoofer and speakers. You gain extra storage where the amp and wire mess was, storage behind the speakers above the table and lots more room under the curb side seat by taking out the huge subwoofer. I've already ditched the TV so there is more storage below the 'entertainment' cupboard.

Thin little iPad replaces the power hogging tv. We convert DVD to movies for the iPad or watch Netflix.

I've definitely considered that, but was still curious how to select those inputs using the system.

Is the amp behind the tv? Or where the tv was in your case, Dave?

We tried to hook up the iphone but no success. We replaced the heavy, clunky Sony TV with the the 19"Jensen TV with DVD (from camping world). Mounted it on the same bracket that the PO slid up as far as it would go. So much lighter and trimmed down compared to the sony. Installed the TV and took out the subwoofer and gobs of wires with the help of many fellow airstreamers at the Moraine View Airstream Rally this past June. Gave the old TV and subwoofer to my "helpers" at the Rally! We love the Jensen TV/DVD, lots more room. Its like a picture on the wall. As Campadk pointed out, lots more room under the dinette with that subwoofer removed. Still have lots of wires in there though.

- just plug in and navigate the inputs to aux

I own a 2006 75th. Edition Bambi vin# J518816.
It is in central Tucson AZ umbilicled to a home for the last 5 years and has not been on the road.
Ii would appreciate any help in coming to a fair price .

I just purchased my 2007 Bambi a few months ago, and I've heard a little about the Winick model, and as far as I know mine is not one of those. It does have the 75th Anniversary badge on the side of the trailer and seems to have a lot of features which is great.

As someone else wrote about the CD changer, we haven't used that and probably won't since we can plug in an iPod into the radio, CD/DVD player. As for the rest of the speakers and woofer, we've enjoyed having that. The SONY screen is OK, have used it once, and I could see getting a newer, thinner, lighter and even a bit bigger screen.

I am having a bit of probably with the oven. The oven and stove have had minimal use. The guy I bought it from never used any of it other than to heat water for coffee, which is all we use it for as well. I've got a Coleman stove and BBQ and do all the serious cooking outside which makes it camping for us. I tried to get the oven fired up with no luck and I think it's probably me not the oven. It seems like I need to push in the knob to light the pilot, but no luck getting it to light, even with a direct flame from a long lighter. Is there some other trick to it or do I have a true mechanical problem?

Rye, I actually haven't tried lighting ours yet, but the previous owner said to:
Turn the knob to pilot
Push and hold the knob in,
Light the pilot light
Then turn it to the temp. It won't light right away, so maybe give it a moment

Separately, where is the jack to plug your iPod in to?

Yup as per Hudson Camp, turn to pilot and push in while at the same time reaching in with a long lighter to light the pilot in the back of the stove. Much easier with 2 people!

It can take a bit for the gas to make its way through the lines.

We had ours for sale with a buyer for $45K last year (we came to our sense and kept our Winker thankfully!). I see one listed in Maine for $52K right now. See 2007 Airstream International CCD 19 - Maine . Prices are creeping up there! That is for the David Winick version (port hole window), not a generic 75th year model.

I found that it helps to first light a burner on the stove top to get the gas flowing in from the tanks.
- leave one burner burning while you light the oven, then you can turn it off.
- if its been a while since the oven was used it may take a while for the gas to get there and the pilot light to flare

- - and be sure your tanks are open!

Yes I had run the stove top to make sure gas was in the lines. Maybe I wasn't patient enough so I'll try again and wait a lot longer. Many of my attempts I thought the stove top ignighter would also light the oven pilot, while holding in the knob like most gas pilot flames. I checked to see if there was a spark after it wasn't lighting and didn't see one, so then I tried using the long style lighter with no luck.

With regards to plugging in my iPod, there is a plug in the front right of the JVC radio/CD/DVD player faceplate. It's pretty subtle until you see it.
