That would have been Meredith and I. We recently returned from a 2500 mile trip from the Portland area to Southern California, departing Saturday morning, 4/10. We spent the first night in I-5's finest rest area along the Klamath River. On the 11th, we went through your area on our way to Santa Cruz, where the trip officially commenced. Heading south from there, California 1 was washed out north of Big Sur, so we had to go through King City and tow over Nacimiento-Fergusson Road! We spent two nights at Kirk Creek, then south again.
Here are a few photos of the trip featuring Wanda, Custom #6.
Photo 1 - The narrow and extremely winding Nacimiento-Fergusson Road. I wouldn't want to tow anything longer than 19' on this road. About a lane and a half wide, with blind corners seemingly every 100' for many, many miles.
Photo 2 - Kirk Creek Campground, right where the detour drops you off on California 1.
Photo 3 - Malibu Beach RV Park, where we spent three nights. Never seen so many regulations in my life.
Photo 4 - An evening shot I couldn't resist.

Ed and Meredith, Custom #6

Alumapalooza 2010

The officer was out to see the damage immed. but although we filed the report, they never found the ones responsible. We did not have it repaired.

Attached are a few photos from Alumapalooza 2010 at the Airstream factory in Jackson Center, OH. Heavy storms the whole time, but everyone still had a great time! Our highlight was meeting Dave Winick and taking him up on his offer to sign our 75th Anniv!!!!!!!

Too bad they weren't able to catch the perps. The damage was very unfortunate, but at least it looks a lot better without the paint splatter. Last Summer on our way back from Glacier, we crossed Lolo Pass in Idaho, unaware that we were heading into about 15 miles of road construction, all of it covered with a layer of tarred gravel. That peppered the front of ours badly, and left a few large dents as well, but we've come to accept that it's going to suffer some damage unless we just leave it parked. Ours is to use and enjoy!
Were there any other 75th Customs at the '10 Alumapalooza?

Easy way to wash your Airstream

Tarred gravel! How awful. No, no other 75th Customs at Alumapalooza last year. We can't make it this year, is anyone else going? If it looks like rain again or if you just want comfort, there is a very nice KOA near-by in Lima.
This photo shows the simple way to wash an Airstream! (Taken in their maintenance area)

'Bean,

Why don't you add a couple of stick-on reflectors, one on each side of the trailer to cover up the dents. It will add to your trailer's rearward visibility to oncoming rear traffic and will look almost like they were meant to be there!

I use this trick often after removing old style awnings on big motor homes when they are replaced with newer, electric type awnings. The old arms have holes at the belt line that have to be covered, so we place the reflectors there and on the other side of the coach so it is balanced.

That's great news, congratulations! We're also in the Portland area, just getting #6 last year, which came from Colorado as well. You're really going to enjoy your time with her.

Thanks kd. I've already had some great trips and currently living in it semi full time in town. Any favorites for OR parks or campsites? I had a food time near Bagby Springs. Have heard some good things about Fort Stevens...

i guess i am a bit late to the registry party - #20 is living happily in Royal Oak, MI [about 3 miles north of Detroit] we bought it from the Airstream dealer in Allen Park, MI [now out of business].

Luckily we are only about 2.5 hours from Jackson City, so the Airstream factory is our servicing dealer and Dave Winick is only about 2 hours away the other direction [Dave - don't think I wont take you up on your offer!].

Hope to see you all on the road!

Update the registry today. Still lots of units out there to find!

Our '40 Winker' has been a blast this year. She enjoyed a great trip exploring the Finger Lake region of upstate New York and her usually 'haunts' at Fish Creek Pond Campground...

Our baby is all winterized for the season but will be back out in another 7ish months!

Cheers!

We're out in Winie a minimum of once a month with our club...feel very fortunate as we have friends in the northwest and midwest who put their rigs away for several months. Have a Merry Christmas in Arkansas!
