Cut linoleum under water heater correct?

Hi there. I wanted to ask if this looks correct. I'm looking at a used 2018 Bambi and viewing from pictures due to it being 10 hours away. This would be our first Airstream.

He sent pictures showing that it is in nice shape but the price is very low. I asked if the trailer has a clean title and he told me that it was "previously flooded" but has a regular title again that just says this in the notes.

His pictures don't show any water staining up the exposed wood and the stickers seem to be dry. Then I started wondering if the stickers were made by him on a laser printer or if they are Airstream.

Anyways, int the water heater compartment, I saw that the linoleum floor was cut away. Is this normal?

Also when looking inside the outside locker door, there is a support that has a lot of staples. That doesn't seem correct to me since airstream advertises "NO STAPLES ANYWHERE"

Thanks for your help.

Is there an airstream inspector portion of this site also?

Yes the cut in the linoleum could be normal. What other info do you have on the Flood, and what other photos did they send.
It looks very clean...... too clean. Proceed with caution. Correct on the staples. They are very out of place.

Might want to pick up an moisture meter. I used one on every AS we looked at during our purchase process.

Thanks! I got a walk through video showing all the things working. He also lifted the bed and showed that all the exposed edges of the plywood looked excellent. I'll see if I can upload to a youtube.

I don't have that inspectors widget on the right side of my page. Just campgrounds and the latest posts.

Mositure meter is also a good idea

"Previously flooded" on the title is there to warn you. A perfect repair won't protect you in the future against wires with water in them waiting for sufficient corrosion a few years down the road to cause trouble or the fact that now the wood floor has dried and the glues weakened that soft spots won't develop etc. It is cheap for a reason. The title may show that "Previously flooded" forever and if you wanted to make an insurance claim for any reason or sell it again you may take a greater loss than you expect. Find a better one.

Girr. I don't know why the pictures flip. They are correct when I upload them.

I'd ask the guy selling it just what was the extent of the "flooding". If he has integrity he'll give you the scoop....assuming he knows it. If he doesn't know the truth of the matter, ask him who to contact to determine the extent of the flooding.

Agreed. Even if it wound up being ok for the most part, I think I don't want that mental ticking time bomb in my head every time we hit the road. I think this will be a pass for me.
