Comfy bed setup for 75th Ann SE

We just took delivery of our new 2007 75th Ann SE Bambi, and the comfort of the bed setup is lacking, as others have noted. We do like the convertable lounge seating tho, but the foam of the cushions is too firm for sleeping.

Here's what we came up with. Two 3.5" camping air mattresses side by side with a Double wide sleeping bag on top. Seems like it'll do the trick, and everything rolls away pretty quick.

Here are some links to the stuff:

REI Camp Bed 3.5 Self-Inflating Pad - Large from REI.com

Kelty Eclipse +35 Sleeping Bag - Double-Wide from REI.com

and a pic:

Enjoy.

Fast and easy way to solve that problem. Nice.

Hope to see you soon at the NorCal and Calstreamer Rallies.

Neat!

We solved the same issue with memory foam.

Have you hit the road with your 75th yet?

We have something similar with our 85 Excella. We have a fold-over couch ad the lucky person (me) sleeping on the joint between what was the back and the seat gets a nice hard bar in the hip all night. So we use a couple of self-inflating camping mats like yours and a couple of egg-carton pads given to us by the PO. Not too bad, now.

We contemplated the foam idea, but went for the air pads so that they can work double duty for other events and rollup compactly, as well as they are adjustable by inflation.

Won't be hittin' the road anytime soon with her. We have another trip planned that didn't include the (surprise early purchase of the) 75th. Also, I want to look into some hitch/receiver mods before going anywhere serious. If you're curious, this is why:

Enjoy the pull.
