Cigarette Inverter for Sansui TV in Bambi 16'?

I don't want to get a large 1500w pure sine wave, it's too big. Can I get a cheap cigarette inverter(modified sine wave) to plug on cigarette out let and then plug tv in to watch?

The wall mount blocked the tv specification on the back, I can't find the watt requirement.

This is 300w, the fan is constantly on all time.

I will probably be crucified for this, but I bought a 100 watt plug in inverter from Flying J for $10, and plugged our tv into it. Most LCD and LED televisions draw much less than 50 watts.

Either of those would probably work, but are not sine wave inverters. Some, but not all televisions are sensitive to the waveform produced by the "modified sine wave" ones you show in your post. No way to tell about your Sansui.

Home Depot chain wide is closing out a cigarette lighter inverter. It's only good for 100 watts, but u have powered lots if chargers, power supplies, and a few flat screen TVs with it. Now $15 in the dept with av cables and those type gadgets.

I use a 140 continuous watt cigarette lighter inverter from Radio Shack. I just plug a power bar into it and run my tv, bluray and amplified speakers w/ small subwoofer from it and it works fine. Been using it this way for 7 years, although I just replaced my older tv with a newer LED one...bigger screen, and less power draw.

I use a 100 watt inverter (no fan for less watt draw). The TV in the 16' Bambi draws 26 watts so I feel safe watching TV or a DVD. I have to run a cable from the battery to the cig lighter that the inverter plugs into. Wish they would have put a cig lighter in there near the TV. Good luck~!

The TV in our Sport 22FB uses 19v to power it. There is a transformer with it that steps down from the AC outlet to 19v DC. However, you can purchase a 12v to 19v transformer that will run directly from DC. I think that this may be more efficient than using an inverter and then a transformer.

Watch the power of the inverter. If you're going to be plugging into the 12vdc plug that's incorporated into the tv amplifier, it's rated to 8 amps of 12vdc. That's 96 watts, so I wouldn't get anything larger than 100watt inverter to plug into it.

The tv probably used about 30 watts if it's a 19" model.

$12.70 got us a 12volt to 19volt converter. Wired it in replacing the small 120VAC to 19volt brick. Works great.
