Thanks for the help
The dealer should have lubed the seals. Use a credit card to break the window free and have your dealer lube the seals.

303 had better success than the silicone... I cleaned the glass really really well first... then apply to both the glass and gasket..

But, to 'open', use the 'plastic' scraper or credit cards to 'pry' up a corner on left or right side .. apply 'pressure'... it may take a minute or so for the 'peal away' to start happening... no rush.. just ease the window up.. then clean and apply the 303... or silicone spray if that's all you have at the moment.

you can get 303 at West Marine.. or other fine Marine or RV dealers as it is recommended on Sunbrella fabrics!

All those tips work well and amazing how easy it is after beating and pushing and cursing from the inside Just slide it along the outside edge.

Here is the original thread for the window opener. Invented by "Uncle Bill".

I guess I'm lucky. On neither Airstream have I ever had to resort to using a card or other. Mine open when I use a little tug on each corner outside. I waxed the windows with Nu Finish, maybe that is why?

Thanks everyone for your quick and helpful responses. I got the window open with a credit card. Nice trick. Got the 303 from a car parts place up the street. Should be good to go camping at my warehouse parking lot this PM to see of everything works before we head out into the vast unknown. Im sure there will be more questions.

The dealer was less than great on this whole transaction. Too bad, I doubt I will see them again.

The AS Windows offer three open positions. We never use the middle one--guaranteed to nail you every time!

Only use the bottom position, or the full open position. Unless you're very tall, you should be OK!

Yellow tennis balls make good forehead protectors on the windows open in the middle position. Just slit the ball so that it can be jammed onto the corners of the windows. Wearing a large-brimmed hat helps too . . .

Thanks for the warning on the middle window position, you may be exactly right on that.
Or maybe a wide brimmed hat with tennis ball glued all around the brim...... 😨

SkyRiverRV in Buellton, CA. Long story, but short result was unknowledgeable people and poor customer support on the part of the manager who stated "ask xxxxxx, I don't know anything about Airstream" and he was right, he didn't.

Jack, I used 100% silicone too but thinking maybe should've used auto "Sun of a Gun" since they still stick more than expected. Any history w Son of a Gun?

When you open, put the bars into 'detents' to keep in position. If they do not 'snap' down into the slot, that will let them pop closed..

Congrats on your advance delivery of a 2025!

Can't get the front window open on 2016 Bambi

No. I use silicone on the seals of the slide out unit with good results. It seems like over time the seals tend to not stick as much. I'm not sure if it is tied to more use prevents the sticking, or whether the dust in the air actually coats them to a point where the won't stick as much. After about 2 years of use, the Windows stopped sticking on me. I can tell you positively that silicone will not harm the gaskets. Typically when the trailer was new, whenever I washed it which was before storing it after a trip, I'd silicone the windows. That pretty much assured me that they would pop open easily on the next trip.

Since we are told 'no silicone' around your Airstream, I try to follow thru..

At first, We thought it was a good idea, so I put the silicone then used a lot of 'talcum powder' (dust)... and that helped keep 'sticking' down. The Aerospace 303 works fine.
